cant wait for more!
Thank you! There will be a new installment today after I take my boys to swimming lessons!

She really doesn't have an accent...really! ;)
Thank you Cathy. Neither do you and you are a Jersey girl, right?

DM sorry to hear about the sickness on the plane...good thing you were ready for it!!!! :thumbsup2
I've learned to be as prepared as possible with Alec and his tummy.

Becca is great! Thanks for asking :) She's a bit petite, but in all honesty, no one would every guess at this point that she was a preemie. She's fiesty, stubborn, headstrong, lovable, and "rotten" all in one! LOL

Melissa
Sound like Evan! Sometimes I "almost" forget he was ever a preemie. Then I look at his baby album with the wires and skin hanging off him - so pathetic looking, but beautiful to me!

Great report! And thanks for adding the pictures - it's nice being able to put a face with the names and stories!
I realized that I love TRs with pics so I knew I would be placing lots of pics in mine. Glad you like them.

Boy, you guys have quite a clan going! I'm a newbie, and for the record I've posted on yours and Courtney's TR, too. But I read yours first! :thumbsup2
Woohoo! Chalk one up for me! :woohoo:

As I was reading your first post, I got to the bottom of it where you say "just call me DM." And I thought, boy, aren't you lucky your name doesn't being with a "B" :rotfl2:
Yeah...BawnMaree would be a funny name wouldn't it? Oh! You mean the abbreviation for some potty word! ;) :rotfl2:

Hey, I see that!
That's just what DM needs to rub it in my face :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1
Rub-a-dub-dub! You still have more fans tho... I'm working on it. Maybe I need to pimp my report on your TR!

psssst..... she DOES most certainly have an accent....... :goodvibes
Good thing I love ya and I'm afraid of your mafia connections or I'd have to rumble you in the streets! Joking....

:headache:

I did find your TR from your post on this thread, so I have to give that to DM. :flower3: After her earlier post that you have more friends/posts on yours, I felt kinda bad... :(
Yes! I need people to feel very very bad for me and get the word out on my most excellent report! Thank you...:flower3:

Wow, that's great sucking up to DM!!:thumbsup2 ;)
You should join Team Focker Watch! (I think DM or Jo has the link............)
Did I mention that abeyst is my new best friend?

How were the fireworks??
The fireworks sounded nice. We never went as Rob has to get up before 4 am and he was too tired. Plus the parking area would have been a muddy mess. Rob thought that the kids had just seen Wishes so he didn't want to take them. I didn't take them because I hate driving through all those idiots crammed in to watch the fireworks.

Hi DM, I was gone all day yesterday. Did I miss anything? Hope ya'll had a great 4th!
Well, you would know if you missed something if you read it all.... Or you could check my first post because I will be putting links of new installments there! Next time I think you should bring a lap top so you never miss a thing on my TR! :lmao:

::yes:: Well on the little video you did on your PreTR it didn't sound as though you had an accent maybe you need to do a longer one :lmao: I was thinking of doing one so you could all hear what I sounded like but I don't know what to say :rotfl2:
We would love to hear your accent Jo. And yes, I can say that everyone here would say you have an accent!!!

DM......I figured out who I confused you with...Imadisneyholic.....

I went thru all my threads when I was bored and checked who posted, and this perspn used to post on my home thread...

Can't wait for your next installment...

Yes everyone...there will be a new installment today so hang tight and I'll get it posted this afternoon!!! :cheer2:

DM,
I was just reading your trip report and when I came to the picture of your boys on their last day of school I recognized their shirts immediately. We are also a Longbranch family. We love LBE. My daughter will be in the 6th grade there this fall and my son is already finished there. Small world. Then when I saw the picture of your husband I realized that he went to high school with my husband (Steve Patchett) ask him if he remembers. I'm so glad that you had a great vacation. Look for me at LBE next time your there. We are the SBV/Van with the WDWRULES license plate. :goodvibes

Hi DM! I finally made it! I'm sure you've been wondering where I was, waiting on pins & needles for my arrival to your wonderful TR. :rotfl:

And if I read correctly, today is your anniversary so Happy Anniversary!

You and Rob have any fun plans tonight (wink, wink)?

/
Uhm, who you be talking bout?

No one - really, I mean it, I do! :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Yes, the chat got pretty excessive over there. That is why I will definitely be posting links on the first post so for those who don't want to read all of our most fun chat can skip right over to the new posts. I can't imagine why anyone would want to not read all this interesting stuff tho...

I honestly love the chatting. It's just that if you start late, there's just so much to catch up on, and then, as I said, I don't post until I'm caught up, so... :)

See? I've responded a couple of times already!

:cloud9:

Two preemies...God bless you. It was very hard with Evan but when I had my 2nd son, he was a huge baby compared to Evan. I didn't know how to handle such a big baby!

Aww, thanks. They were in the hospital for 5 and 8 weeks, respectively, but as we know, they are fine now! Buzz was originally the smaller one and had sugery, but, well, he's made up for it! :lmao:I don't think we're having any more (hard to think about starting over just as we're sending them to school!) but if we did, I don't know what I would do with a newborn in the house! I had over a month of horrible stress, but no nighttime feedings... ;)

O.k. I'm in now!!! Loving it so far and (I'll just throw this in) my youngest was a 27 weeker! He is AWESOME! We go to our 1st DW trip ever in SEP on his :wizard: WISH:wizard: trip!
Also have to say I found this thread on KrazyKangas thread and then linked to Courtneys off of this one. I think I found yours off of MandyGrace whom I found when she replied to my thread! Did you keep up with all that?:confused3 me neither:rotfl: I think I've gone and confused myself not that that is very hard to do:laughing:
I'm new to the DIS but LOVIN it!!!

I know I'm used to it now, the DIS wouldn't be the same without you taking the P :rotfl2:
Is that the same as "taking the mickey out of you"??
Cause I'm just now incorporating that phrase into conversation!

OMGoodness! I am soooo excited to have someone so close reading my TR. I will have to ask Rob if you knows your hubby. I went to LHS too but I graduated before Rob. Yup, I "Robbed" the cradle. ;) I'll be looking for your plates!

Yes, I was wondering where you have been and it's about time. But you're not to late for all the fun and interesting reporting I have to do. And thank you for your anniversary wishes. Today is our 11th anniversary and I received a Post-It Note on my computer this morning wishing me, "Happy 11 years...Love Rob" Isn't that the most romantic thing ever? :lmao: Seriously, I told him not to buy me a card because I think they are a waste of money. I would rather get a "scratcher" than a card. We probably won't do anything until Saturday night because there is too much we have to do...

:hourglass :hourglass :hourglass

FYI- I didn't think you had an accent :cutie:
Thank you Rags. You would be correct that I don't have an accent. You, however, had a real nice Mass. accent but it is smooth. I couldn't tell if Scilla had one. But maybe because she was tipsy...:cutie:

Oh yeah, and as a fellow upstate NYer, DM does NOT have an accent! :thumbsup2
:flower3:

DM--Honestly I did not think you had an accent. I m thinking because you are from up North. Or, am I wrong? I have had friends from the Rochester area and did not have an accent.
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, so listening to you talk seemed "Familiar" to me:confused3

Glad you found my thread through a thread through a thread through another thread.... Wow...27 weeker. I have to admit we were lucky with Evan. He was on a ventillator for only a day. I think the surfactant they injected the night before the c-section helped tremendously. The apnea monitor at home for some months was not fun at all and quite scary at times. I thank God that Evan is totally healthy now and my others were born healthy.

That's funny Jackie because I was going to ask where you were originally from because I detected an accent from you...;) I couldn't quite place it though...

YEP..I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. I lived there for 29 yrs until I got married and moved to Va Beach. We have lived here 13 yrs now. There are so many accents around here. Since this is a big Military town, you hear all kinds of accents.

Saturday, June 23....Epcot
Future World

Again, an excerpt from my pre-trip report:

Saturday, June 23
Epcot
We will sleep in and then go to Epcot. We will probably grab a late CS breakfast in Epcot. We have a 4:10 pm ADR at Le Cellier. At 7:30 pm we will be in Norway to meet a whole bunch of fellow DISers including twob4him (Cathy), Karibritt01 (Kari), Ragnrok (Tony). A few others have expressed interest in meeting. We'll probably all have a drink and then ride Maelstrom together. Cathy will be passing on Felicia von Focker Crocker to me that
evening. After that we will call it a night as we want to get to the MK early tomorrow.

Hopes:
1. A good start with PhotoPass.
2. A good peaceful dinner at Le Cellier.
3. A wonderful DIS meet in Epcot.
4. No blisters on my feet as I was wearing my Crocs Capris.
5. A meeting with the Dream Team.

Wants:
1. Ride Soarin’.
2. Visit The Seas with Nemo.
3. Visit some countries with the kiddos.
4. A margarita from Mexico.

We all started to wake up at around 8:30 am. I jumped into the shower first as it takes me the longest to get ready. I sent Rob over to Fulton’s gift shop to use 2 of our snack options. I told him to get a quart of milk and a box of Entemenn’s donuts. I heard here on the DIS that this was a good deal for your snack credits. He came back with just that. The kids munched on the donuts but I was just to excited to get to Epcot, plus I don’t drink milk. I figured I would grab something in Epcot.

As we were getting ready to leave my cell phone rings. I was wondering who could possibly be calling me now. It was my dog sitter, B---. She said that she had picked up Jake and he was very happy to go with her, even jumping right into her car. But when she brought him in her home he immediately went over and pee'd on the kitchen floor and then proceeded to go over to her husband's weights and pee on them. My heart sank. This was totally not like Jake. He has never ever done that! Now for those of you that read by pre-trippie, you know all the problems I had with this whole dog sitting situation. I won't even go through that now. So B--- just was worried that Jake would continue to do this even though he had never done that the previous time he stayed there. I asked her if she let him "do his business" around her home before she took him inside and she said no. I told her that we usually let him to that when we take him somewhere and I seriously doubt that Jake would do it again. We ended our conversation by the agreement that if Jake did not stop doing that then she would take him back to our garage and she would come and take him out 3 times a day. I tried to make my mind at ease with that but there really was nothing I could do at that point but try to block it out and enjoy ourselves.

We had brought a pink lightweight Kolcraft stroller for Brooke and intended on renting a double stroller for our length of stay for the boys. This worked out very well all week, especially for getting Brooke to and from the bus stops. We were all ready and out the door by 9:45 am. We walked up to the bus stop and waited not too long for a bus. Here are the kids waiting at the South Depot of Port Orleans Riverside... That's half of Rob to the left in the blue shirt and the girl behind the kids is me. Well, maybe not even close!

P1000651.jpg

Luckily, we were able to sit down on the bus. It was standing room only though for the unlucky people who got on after us. So we head on over to Epcot. I had Rob and the kids go through the area marked “guests without bags” and I scoped out the lines for the bag check and picked a winner! I was through that in no time flat. We went up to the turnstiles and I gave everyone their Keys to the World cards. Rob pushed Brooke through the open gate that a CM had opened for the stroller. That is when Brooke started her little hissy fit. She wanted a card too...she wanted a card too...she wanted a card too! My excitement quickly faded as she was really laying it on thick. I still managed to snap a shot of the Epcot icon...
P1000652.jpg

We went over to the stroller rental and I bought the week’s worth of double stroller rentals. Brooke had calmed down only a wee bit. So, no PhotoPass for us then (hope #1 dashed). She was just too out of control.

I had read on the official Walt Disney World website that Spaceship Earth was supposed to be closed down on June 22 and 23 so I already warned the family that we would not be going on it today but would definitely go on it when we returned on Thursday.

P1000654.jpg

Well, what a surprise it was to us when we saw people waiting in line to go on. We parked the strollers really quick and hopped in line...
P1000656.jpg

...and within a few short moments we were nearing the entrance...
P1000657.jpg

...and Evan, Rob & Brooke rode together in front.
P1000658.jpg

After Spaceship Earth we started to walk to decide what to do. As we were walking I hear this lady shout out to me, “Are you DawnMaree?” I look over and do not recognize her at all. She says, “I’m Jackie.” Okay, I’m still drawing a blank but I think it was due to the heat, being tired, and having to deal with the cranky Brookie. This “Jackie lady” knew I was still puzzled so she said, “I”m Sunlvr!” and then I knew it was one of my fellow Stalking DISers. Wow!! My first DIS meet! It was totally cool running into her. I still would have never recognized her as she had only posted one pic of herself and it was a profile in the car. Nice Jackie! Both her kids and mine wanted to get moving so we said our goodbyes but knew we would be meeting up later in Norway for the big DIS meet.

At that time we decided to get FPs for Mission:SPACE and ride Test Track because the line was only 20 minutes. Since Brooke was too small for Test Track, we grabbed a child swap pass and Rob took her for a walk while Evan, Alec & I hopped in line. No sooner did we get in line than there was an announcement that Test Track was currently down and the wait time would be extended. They said they would announce when it was back up and running. Great...NOT! A bunch of people exited but we stayed in line with hopes that it would get back up and running soon. About 5 minutes later they announced the same thing. More people left. I asked the boys if they wanted to leave and go on it later. No! They wanted to stay in line. So, we stayed in line. It was a very noisy wait but Alec had fun dancing to all the sounds. Here’s a little video of his lovely dancing moves...

Side Note: If you just watched the video you will notice how Alec's dancing is somewhat, well, what can I say...unique? He reminds me of Elaine from Seinfeld when she danced. I crack up every time I see him dancing like that but I am glad that he enjoys himself so much.

And here is Alec & Evan still waiting in line. This was the best they ever were while waiting in line. After that it was always a constant complaint of “Why do we have to stand in all these lines?” Hence, the name of this thread. Funny thing is that we never waited more than 30 minutes for any ride, thanks to child swap, fast passes, clever maneuvering. The 30-minute wait was for this Test Track.
P1000660.jpg

Soon enough Test Track was up and running and we quickly moved through the line. Since I didn’t get a PhotoPass card yet I couldn’t scan it and boy I was mad. I even forgot to "redneck” the picture. Oh well! It was cute. Just believe me.

So I called Rob and he and Brooke are over at the “car wash” refreshment port. Brooke was having fun getting soaked in the streams of water.

P1000662.jpg

Of course, the boys had to join in and get wet. Boy it was tempting....
P1000661.jpg

P1000663.jpg

Time was up for Mission:Space so we headed over there and got a child swap pass and went to order a pink lemonade slushie. I asked the CM if they accepted a Visa gift card and he said in a flat voice, “No.” I said that stinks and I was about to get another card out when he said, "I'm just razzing you.” Oh gee. He was hilarious, wasn’t he? I got the drink and started sucking it down and in that 90 degree weather, it sure was good! Brookie was definitely cooler than I was. Here she is still wet from the car wash...

Next installment...Epcot...More Future World

DM,
What year did you graduate from LHS? I graduated in 1987 and my husband graduated in 1985. Looking forward to your next installment.:goodvibes

DM So glad that Evan is healthy! With my preemie it was one of those "perfect" pregnancy things until oops I'm feeling a little crampy, then 4hrs later the midwife says youknow your water is bulging a little funny go see the Dr. and 30 mins later acroos town at the DRs office he is wheeling me in a wheelchair to the connecting hospital knowking me out and doing a C-section. So no shots, no warnings, NO preparation, NOt ONE CLUE!!! NOT an experience I would recommend. BUT Braeton was only on the respirator a week then onthe c-pack. He went home 8 wks later with NO monitor, a complete miracle from GOD! He does have cp and a few other problems, but deals with them so well (He's 5!) We are just so thankfull for him!
Thanks for this TR I am writing down details in my notebook to help me plan for our trip!!! I love the pics especially the ones of the kids in the water!! I gur-an-tee you my kids will be in it if they spot it!!!

patiently waiting for more! My first on-site experience was at POR! I loved it! so peaceful!
