I had to do a separate post about the dusty lamp. Actually, I never really noticed the dusty lamp until after I viewed my pictures. The flash must have brought it out more clear. I was more concerned about the crack in the lamp and me getting in trouble for it that I did not even notice that dust. After the fact, it is pretty gross, and I am sure that I ingested some of it. But I never noticed any difference in taste. I was more concerned about glass chards!

I will still go back to Raglan Road for sure. It was one of the top 2 "fancy" dining places we went to that trip!

Ooh, celebrities at the fair!

I used to go to the IL state fair regularly, and I too love the butter sculptures... :rolleyes1

I don't know if I said "Happy Birthday" yet to Evan, but I do wish him one. ;)

i don't think a little dust ever hurt anyone. do you know how much nasty stuff we probably swallow during our sleep or even on an outdoor roller coaster???? so gross!

Sounds good to me! As long as I can get a glow-tini! Yum!
Absolutely...it's time for ladies night!

It's funny that we like butter sculptures. It is pretty cool but come on...it's BUTTER! Evan is all happy that he is 8 now. He is totally loving being "older".

Thanks for posting about your celebrity sighting! I posted over on that thread too.
I saw that! It was so cool.

Hey Dawn! Are you trying to gross us all out over here? Save that for your thread! :rotfl2: Actually, I heard one time that we actually swallow insects when we sleep sometimes. Can we all say "EW" together now????

Glad you had fun being an amateur pappiratizi photographer :lmao:
At first I was apprehensive about taking a picture and then I thought, hey, why the heck not? And I was so glad I did!!!

Now that I see more pics, I'm more excited. I thought it was just pony-hawk boy and his sister, but now I see!!! Haley is from San Antonio, so we were rooting for her. Too bad she went home so early. I wasn't a Blaker girl though. I got tired of his stuff. I liked Chris, but mostly just to look at. Jordan was like budd-ah. Love her!

I'm an AI fanatic, can you tell? :rotfl: :rotfl:

One comment on the butter sculpture. Weird.

That would never fly here in Texas... :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: No--but I saw some STRANGE things at the TX state fair--deep fried Twinkies......deep fried pickles......:lmao:

That's so wrong!!! I haven't been since college. The kids have never been. We'll go to the rodeo when it comes this year, though. Turkey leg, anyone? :lmao:

Ok I'm such a geek LOL I was so excited when I saw the pics! I love me some AI, and some Blake Lewis!!! How cool for you guys!!!!

Oh geez! Not him! Blech!!!! Stupid pony-hawk... :headache:
It's cool to have a sighting, though!
I didn't read if anyone else guessed, so I'm not going to say the names. :rolleyes1

At first I thought you didn't read far enough along. But now I saw you did. I love Blake. I voted multiple times every week! I loved AI too!!!

Just so you know...the butter sculpture does not fly in New York either. It stays in a sealed room. Do you know of other states where butter sculptures fly? :rotfl2:

No. It was apparently a fleeting desire.....I'm over it now!:thumbsup2

Yuck and yuck again!

Turkey leg sounds good.

How come all these people loved Blake but Jordin won? ;)

And drink our Disney sorrows away! :rotfl:
Disney sorrows? You mean our missing Disney? Waaaaaaaa waaaaaaa!

Raglan Road Entrees

Hopes:
1. More PhotoPass pictures taken...:sad2:
2. Rob, Evan & Alec have a great boys day...:dance3:
3. Brooke & I have a great girls day...:flower3:
4. My feet feel better with the blisters...:sad1:
5. A meeting with the Dream Team

Wants:
1. A good lunch at Cinderella’s Royal Table...princess:
2. Have a good short rest at the resort in the afternoon...:)
3. A good dinner at Raglan Road in DownTown Disney with the whole family...::yes::

After those scrumptious appetizers I was wondering if our entrees could possibly satisfy. I also was a bit worried about the boys getting something they liked. But we let them choose their own meals and hoped for the best.

Alec chose the Gold’n Chicken (two deep fried chicken goujons). Now you may be wondering, as I did, what the flip is a goujon? Basically, chicken tenders. Okay, that sounded like a good one for Alec. He ate them up and almost all his fries. He said he liked them.

Evan has a newfound love for fried fish so he got the Atlantic deep fried fish with fries. He ate it all up.
P1000865.jpg

Thank goodness they liked it. Rob ordered the Paddy’s Pork (tasty pork loin stuffed with homemade sausage meat drizzled with honey soy glaze served with buttered leeks, cabbage and mashed potatoes). He said he could cut the pork with a fork (hey, I'm a poet and didn't know it!)
(insert groans here). He really did enjoy this meal. It’s pretty to look at but I would never have eaten that.

The meat-loving gal that I am...I ordered the Serious Sirloin Steak (10 oz sirloin topped with Irish whiskey glazed, drizzled with fresh basil oil served with mashed potatoes and topped with crispy fried onion strings). Can I just say that this was absolutely wonderful? Can I? I absolutely can! Those crispy fried onion strings really were good with it too. And I don’t eat onion rings ever! I did not finish the mashed potatoes though because I’m not a big fan of them. But who cares because the steak was seriously good....seriously.

And it was at the end of our entrees that the precious Sleeping Brookie woke up. I think she knew it was time for dessert...
P1000877.jpg

So, here’s the menu for the desserts. Once again, since you all did such at great job at guessing last time  ...which did we each choose? Rob & I got different desserts. I hope you can read it this time.
