Why do we always think about changing rooms when MS isn't open?

We are going in mid-November and currently have a 2 bed and studio at OKW.

We were trying to figure out sleeping arrangements, and even with only 6 pp in the 2 bed, we were struggling to make it work.

So DH says, why don't we get a GV? Of course at 10:30 p.m. on a Friday night, I have no chance of even calling.

I know it is a long shot, but now I have to wait until Monday a.m. to call MS and see if there is even availability.

Why do we always choose Friday night to start "wondering"?

How would getting a grand villa help with the sleeping arrangements? With a 2 bedroom and a studio at OKW you get a king bed in one room, 2 Q in second bedroom, 2 Q in studio and queen sleeper sofa in living area. The Grand villa has a king bed in one room, 2 Q in second bedroom, 2 double beds in third bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. No extra beds and in fact, two beds are smaller, and no extra bedrooms. You do get a larger living area and everything is in one unit so you don't have to worry if you wanted to put kids in what would be the third bedroom or studio - this is the main advantage as far as sleeping arrangements that I can think of.

I would think all the GV would be gone. This is still doing the food/wine festavial right?

I think they are replacing the 2-bedroom with GV and still kepting the studio?

but I do is claim my area and let everyone decide which they want. first comes generally get what they want. the laters take what is left. :rolleyes1

Ahh! Get it. I was assuming replacing both.

I agree - the chances of getting a GV are very low, but you never know until you ask.

It would be sooooo nice to be able to login just to check availability. Then we could figure all these things out on our own timetable without bothering anyone.

Actually, were going to replace both with GV. Sleeping arrangements were problematic due to the fact that 7th person is a friend who is alone in the studio. Our DS will probably be stuck on the sofa. We are not thrilled about anyone sleeping in living room. My mother has a tendency to get up in the middle of the night and read, she won't do that if DS is out on sofa. Plus, some stay up late, some get up early. Really don't prefer the living room be used as a sleeping area.

The 2nd bedroom is my mother, my niece and my daughter. Don't think my son will want to stay in there, unless he is willing to sleep with grandma. He and DD6 aren't willing to sleep in same bed. Probably getting too old anyway.

We are not willing to let our 11 year old son stay in studio with friend that far out of our sight. With GV, the "boys" could have had 3rd bedroom. Son would still be with us, thus no problem.

But alas, no GVs available, so DS will have to sleep on sofa, or with his grandmother or sister (OH NO MOM!)

Sorry this is so confusing to read, having trouble writing it down so it makes sense.

Are you going to go on a waitlist for the GV? I hope you can get one!

how about putting your son in with your friend in the studio?

there are 2 queen beds in OKW studio.

if you aren't charging for the use of your points - I think he/she would be more than willing to share.

Friend is actually boyfriend of niece. He is 24 and my son is 11.

Neither DH nor I are comfortable with that arrangement.
