why do tickets cost more on Fri. nights for MVMCP?

Hi, we are thinking of doing the christmas party on Dec. 16, that is the only date that is an option for us. I noticed that the tickets cost about $5 more per ticket for friday nights. Does anyone know why the increase in price. This is what I saw on WDWIG website:

Advance purchase prices Sunday through Thursday
Age 10 & up $41.49
Age 3-9 $31.90

Friday nights and day of event
Age 10 & up $46.81
Age 3-9 $37.23

Since Friday nights always sellout, they are no longer offering the advance purchase discount. Maybe to encourage people to buy tickets for the other nights to help even it out.
