Why do they have to ruin it like that???

Not just music that we are forced to buy though-clothing for instance. My daughter hates that tight fitting stuff-but what else is there to purchase for her? Frustrating...

If possible, buy a bigger size. I do that with baby doll type shirts.

Have you heard lyrics by Ke$ha and Lady Gaga? Nasty, nasty, nasty. They don't have clean versions of ANY of their songs.

Gaga is an artist, have you seen her perform before she was "Lady Gaga"? Simply AMAZING! She really has talent! I love her, I love her music, is she a little out there? Yes, but you know who she is as does my 5 year old daughter and 80 year old grandmother. In the 80's Madonna was a bit "out there" with her cones and Michael Jackson was "disgusting" for grabbing his crotch while dancing, but look they are now legends.
BUT, I have to say, I don't mind hearing the F word in music, but I really don't like the N word period, I usually cringe when I hear it.

That'd probably make me feel uncomfortable. Otherwise, what irks me is the overly sexual lyrics of some otherwise good songs. I love the beats of certain Lady Gaga, Pussycat Dolls, Britney Spears, etc... songs, but even when they try to gloss over the truth they're still pretty blatant to me. And when that subject is the seeming majority of their discography, it's just really annoying to me. Just not stuff I want to hear about constantly.

See, I am opposite... I hate "clean" versions of songs. If people don't want to hear it, then don't listen to it. Why should an artist have to make a second version of their song? Nothing worse then listening to something and knowing those words are not the correct ones...

Then again, I don't like any type of censorship being "required". I believe it is up to the individual to police what they expose themselves to. If you don't like the use of whatever word, then don't listen or watch. Not too hard.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

But yet they're the first to make an outcry if someone who's "not them" uses it. I wonder if they know that it means "stupid, ignorant person"....

I'm sure "they" know what the word means.

I too turn off music that has too much profanity. But I think artists have a right to say what they want to say. Thank goodness for radio edits. Remember the Pea's first hit, "Let's Get It Started"? I loved that song, it was everywhere. I was really shocked, and really put off, when I bought the album and the song was actually "Let's Get Retarded."
