My littlest baby turned 1 yesterday. I'm feeling a little sad. We won't be having any more, and I already miss her being a tiny baby. Why do they have to grow up so fast?

I feel your pain.....my 1st "baby" will turn 17 in two weeks. I'd like to know who took my beautiful, curly-haired angel who loved her Mommy....and turned her into a grouchy teenager!! Time goes by so quickly...it's so depressing.

I know what you mean, my one and only will be 10 next week and 20 before I know it.

I feel your pain. I was cleaning out my closest yesterday and decided to go through the box of DDs' baby clothes my brother sent back to me after his girls had outgrown them. They were so tiny! I kept my favorites, and the ones my mom and I had made, and am donating the others to Goodwill. Seems so final to be getting rid of them. DDs are 14 and 11. Guess it's time.

My oldest is 10 and my youngest is 3. The 3 year old looks and acts so much like her big sister, it's like being able to see my oldest as she is now and as she was at the same time.

Talk about heart wrenching!!

I don't want another baby per se, I just want these babies back!

But whenever I say something like that to my mom, she just says "how do you think I feel? I only brought you home from the hospital yesterday!"

Since the weather will have me cooped up with all three of them for the next two days, I will have to remember how lucky I am that they still want to hang out with me and get hugs and cuddles.

It must be hard for parents. I am 14 and I have a sister (13) and a brother(4)
I bet it hard for them to see us grow up so fast and know that soon we will be gone.

I spent yesterday planning my "baby's" wedding (24) I still can't believe he is old enough to get married and start a family of his own!

Oh, I know how all of you feel! My boys are now 9 and 6 and I think when my 9 year old turns 10 in March, that will be a tough day for me! No more single digits!!! I love seeing how they are changing and maturing, but I want my babies back too! I look back through my scrapbooks and remember all the times when they were little and how touching it was when they said "mommy" for the first time!!! I have been a stay at home mom for 9 years, but now that they are both in school full time I am substitute teaching. I have lots of assignments at their elementary, so that is nice that I can see them during the day. Like all of you, I cherish every moment with them and feel fortunate to have such healthy and smart kids! :) :goodvibes

My baby turned 3 a week ago.:sad1: I told my 5 year old that i was going to start piling books on his head to keep him from growing any more. :rotfl2:

This is so odd...I was just thinking the SAME exact thing this morning in the shower. My baby will be 6 in May. He is my lovey, dovey mommy's boy and I am missing that since he is at school all day now. My dd is 9 and acting like a teenager, attitude and all! I keep reminding myself as she is now fighting a project that she is doing with her dad, that someday she will be gone and grown up!!:sad1:

I definitely agree with you! My boys are 21 and 17 and will be graduating from College and High school this year. One will be off at medical school and one at college in the fall. Empty nest time! DH takes it harder than me though. Spend time with your kids and have fun. I look back and have no regrets. I spent alot of time with them teaching them and playing with them. Plus we have our WDW trips to look back on. And we have one more coming up this summer as a graduation gift to them. Take care.

My sister and I were just talking about this morning. I have no children but am like a second mother to her children. The oldest is going on 12 and she is almost as tall as I am. The boys just turned 10 yesterday which is why we were discussing where have the years gone. Her baby, she really isn't a baby but we aren't ready to give up that title yet, is 4.The toughest part about getting older is that they do too:sad:

I know what you mean. My baby is going to be 5 in Feb. Where does the time go? It seems like yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital. I want him to stay little, but he just wants to grow up!

So that you'll still be young enough to enjoy your grandbabies.:)

This is a good point. I always wanted to have kids young so I could be a grandma. But still... there's so much time between my own babies and my grandbabies! Although having an almost 13 year old... I may get them sooner than I think! (Please, God, don't let me be a grandma for at least 7 more years).

My dh and I were talking 1 day about how sad it was to be done. He was thinking we should have 1 more. I said no we were done. A week later guess what I found out.

Making decisions/plans gives God a good laugh.:teeth: :lmao:
