feel the need to have a hit song performed by another artist in another genre?

aka right now there is acountry artist doing the Hinder song "lips of an angel"

it drives me nuts...

I always like the first one I knew better. :confused3

Just a huge lack of creativity in the media industry (movies and music)

But, it does seem to be the "country" side of the music industry that copies others more than the other way around.

I heard that awhile ago -- almost right after the Hinder version came out. I couldn't believe someone had remade it that quickly.

Well I have to admit that I love Rascal Flatt's version of "Life is a Highway".

A good song is a good song. A hit song is a hit song. If you were the Hinder dude, you'd be ecstatic.:)

In most cases, the different artists have recorded the same song around the same time. It's not always a case of "copying". It's just that one version is usually MUCH better than the other.

I do agree about the country version of "lips of an angel". It turns the song into something sappy and melodramatic.
