Why do some women wear underwear 3 sizes too small??

I'm a massage therapist. When I work on the back and the client has underwear on, I have to push it down a bit to work the lower back (especially when they have on granny panties). Yesterday, I had no less then 3 clients wearing underwear I either couldn't push down because it was so "snug" or when I was finally able to get it lowered, it left an indent the size of Montana.

What's the deal? How is that comfortable?

They either outgrew them and, as the pp said, are in denial. Or, they're buying smaller sizes planning to fit into them.

Perhaps they still want to wear size 'S' when, in fact, the days of being size 'S' were back when 'Punky Brewster' was on?

I prefer underwear that are just a tad tight (if they're stretchy). It helps hold my tummy in. I wouldn't wear any that created a bulge, though.

Underwear is sized differently than clothing. If they buy their clothing size, it will be too small.

I like mine snug too. It just makes me feel secure. Nothing worse than your drawers slipping down!

But I think mine would be moveable. To each his own, I guess.

The tackiest thing in the world to me is people who let the top of their thong show over their pants. OMG how skanky is that! UGGHH!

I do like to wear my panties a bit tight though. Not alot just a little but moving them would be no problem.

Well, I figure you were upset that their hind quarters weren't covered. That is what I think is grossest. We were behind a girl riding on the back of her bf's motorcycle the other day. She had on a thong and low rise jeans. Let's just say that is NOT a good look.

I just read something that was on the Rachael Ray show. A Dr was interview about cellulite. He said that wearing underpants that are tight on the legs is one of the main causes of cellulite. He also recommended not wearing underwear when sleeping so the fluids can circulate and not pool at the thighs.
He recommended lace edged or no elastic panties, so I guess he would not like those tighty ones at all.

I like my undies snug enough that they don't wander all over my backside when I walk. I lost weight and had some undies that fit before, but now give me wedgies...that I don't like. Mine can be removed easily, but I will confirm that with my husband if you want...

Not really... if it's too tight, I just work around it.
