I have heard that neither Beaches n Cream nor the Grand Floridian Cafe take ADRs. Anyone know why - or what time to show up for dinner and not have to wait an hour?

Beaches and Cream is a very small location and while it is technically table service it is really more of a counter service type of place. They would not be able to fit more than a couple of tables into dining times (I think there are only about 10 tables inside if I remember correctly.)

Grand Floridian Cafe does take dining reservations (I have made them before.)

Really? My TA said they didn't. :confused3 I hope you're right.

GF Cafe does take ADRs. One time, we didn't have one and the guard turned us away. I pulled over to the side of the road and called Disney Dining to get one for 15 min. later. She kept saying "are you sure you have enough time to get there?" :rotfl:

I have a 7.20pm adr for Grand Floridian Cafe on 9/28 so they do take adrs. I am going to order the cinderella slipper cake before I go there.

:cool1:

Another one with Grand Floridian Cafe ADRs. This is where my dd will have her 13th birthday lunch in Oct!!!

As to wait times, we were at B&C late afternoon and STILL waited 20 minutes for a table. Because its so small, it can be easily overwhelmed at odd times - in our case I think we hit the middle of "take a break from SAB snack time." People have reported good luck right at opening.

BTW, we were not impressed here, and I wouldn't go out of my way for it. After a 20 minute wait, it took us another 20 minutes to get served by a surly waitress. The food was OK - but certainly not the best burger I had that week (Sci Fi and Le Cellier have better burgers, IMHO), the ice cream OK (Ghiradelli's has better ice cream). The restaurant was dirty - lots of people tracking in wet and dirty from the pool. And it was expensive for what we got. But other people love this place.

I agree. I think a lot of people like the idea of B&C, but the reality isn't as good as the build-up. For us, it is nothing more than an ice cream shop that serves burgers. No big whoop.
