Is It Something They Do On Purpose? Or Can Their Computer Be Set Up To Do That For Them?

Most of the time people are not typing like that at all - they're typing in all caps and the software is changing it to look like that instead.

I am glad that disboards (and a lot of other boards) won't show a post written in all caps. They will just show the first letter capped. It's awfully hard to read, I just skip over those posts most of the time.

That's my pet peeve! Some people just can't be bothered to capitalize, use punctuation or paragraph breaks and it makes their posts very difficult to read. I usually end up skipping them.

I have seen this question asked a couple of times now, yet I have never seen these mysterious first letter capitalized posters that are being mentioned.

I catch myself doing this A LOT! I type names/addresses alot at work so I catch myself every once in a while capitalizing everything.

You know what is almost even worse long long posts that go on forever and forever without punctuation and no paragraph break of anykind I find those types of posts very hard to read and often I just give up and don't read those and that makes me feel bad because maybe that person could really use a pick me up and I can't possibly get through the entire post because I've been trained to read with punctuation and paragraphs wasn't everyone

Well, you *can* set the computer to do it for you (title case), but I can't imagine that very many people would. I'm guessing that most often it is your browser down-casing text that is really in all-caps. Programs that do that give you an end product in title case because it is extremely difficult to program it to correctly detect all proper nouns.
