Why do some people hate WDW?

I LOVE haters of WDW!!:love::love::love:

They just leave more room for me!!

One of the things we love most about Disney is conversing with people from all over the world. Where else can you go that is so multi-cultural?

As a commando planner I agree with most of the PP's. If you don't have a plan of action you will be like a deer in headlights:scared1::teacher: it's going to suck:mad: Lack of planning is not WDW's fault it's their own:lmao: All the info you need to have a well planed trip & to get the most out of it is out there:confused3. But then again some people have a chip on their shoulder and can't be pleased. IMO there's no excuse for laziness, if you want to spend all that cash and let your family down, it only reflects yourself:confused3

Just about everyday while we're waiting around in the heat for our assignment, we'll look at each other and ask, why are all these people here at this time of the year. We're very glad they are, because we'd have nothing to do, but we just don't understand it.[/QUOT

Unfortunately some of us with kids in school don't have much of a choice of when we go.:sad2:
I would love to go later in the year but with a DS in HS and DD in college that isn't possible. The bad thing is DD is going to be a teacher adn who knows what DS will be but it will just be the two of us when we get to go in the fall. :sad1::sad1::sad1:

Unfortunately some of us with kids in school don't have much of a choice of when we go.

We understand why people with kids in school come in the summer, and again, we're glad they do, but it's the people without kids in school, and there are a lot of them, that we wonder about.
In our case, we never came to Florida in the summer when we did have school age children. We made arrangements with the schools ahead of time to get the kids lessons for the week that they would be out. So it was almost like home schooling for that week. The kids understood. The amount that they were behind was kept to a minimum. Their grades never suffered as a result. All four have their degrees and good careers. And as adults they never come to visit us during the summer either. Hmmm, maybe it wasn't such a good idea after all?
Anyway, it's not for everyone but it worked out for us. As young parents then, we just couldn't see spending all that money and not getting the most out of our once every 3 or 4 year trips to WDW.

Our school system isn't so generous in allowing time off for a family vacation. What I don't understand is people that come to WDW in the summer and then complain about the heat. I guess they would be the same people that come during the most crowded times of the year and complain about the crowds. Do the research and if you need/want to come during the hot times or crowds, just don't complain. Enjoy yourself.

I just don't understand hating WDW. One of the best memories I have ever had is the look on my daughter's faces when the they saw Cinderella's castle and then met her in person! It really was magical and priceless!
