Lol, there's a whole new world by holding down that "alt"key.

Babyjustrun said:i can read some of it.
but i think it looks stupid.
i hate internet slang. not as bad as the french stuff (pars ke)
so basicallyyyy. it's annoying, looks stupid and it's out. i hate it more when people put that in their songs. like Avril's Skater Boy. oh yes... Sk8er Boi.
Babyjustrun said:what i mean is, french people from like Quebec and some from around the martimes (that speak Shiac, and Franglais) do FRENCH SLANG on the internet.
so like english, they don't spell anything right.
'Parce que' (means why) and they spell it 'pars ke' on the internet. it's like killing the language.. and it.. looks stupid.

Loves Disney said:I figured that it meant parce que, I was just hoping no one would take such a beautiful language and kill it like that!
*Side note: Parce que means because. Pourquoi mean why.
Je sais "parce que" est "because" parce que j'etudie francaise au lycee.![]()
It's definately not an attempt to be unique. My guess is that it's just the opposite. Someone decides that they want to be like someone else and this gives them the initiative to TyPe LyK dIs. Most of them probably realize how stupid it is, they just can't stand the thought of being different from everyone else.Loves Disney said:I am just speculating on why people write with some letters upper case and some lower case. Is it an attempt to be unique? But how then, if that, is it unique when so many people do it? Is it to be creative? Creativity is similar to that of uniqueness...if something is creative it is a person's personal "style" or ideas. Is it easier to read? Not for me it isn't and I am assuming it isn't for a vast number of the population as well...considering maps, books, signs and other important documentation are not written in such a way.
I have seen so much of this lettering that it only makes me wonder what initiates such a use...
Any ideas?
