Why do people think this of me?

So today, someone who I met just a few weeks ago and have had very little time to spend with me, asked if I had a girlfriend, I said no but there was this girl that I liked. She then asked if I was gay. I said I was straight and she kept going on that I seem gay because I like Disney. I will admit that I am not the stereotypical guy but I am still straight. And All night long at work it was her and another friend I have a work telling me that it would be OK if I told them I was gay. I don't really take offense to it but I just feel like it was wrong of them to keep insisting.

Anyway sorry for the rant.

And for your information. I did make a new username just for this post, but it is mainly to protect my identity just in case someone who knows what my real username is, they won't make the connection immediately.

so...first off..I'm not a teen...but I was here posting for some help from the teenagers.


Just so you know, this is a common thing for teenagers to do this to each other. I consider it another form of bullying.

The world tends to want everyone to conform to a certain image...and right now the world wants us to believe that we all must have a partner, look glamourous & talk trash.

I will tell you this, just because you don't have a gf it doesn't mean your gay. My own son, was always accused of this. His answer was always..."i dont need someone else to complete me". My son is now 17 & has his first gf. She's absolutely stunning & beautiful on the inside & out....and she appreciates that he didn't bounce form girl to girl before he decided to ask her out.

Ignore them. It's not about you. It's about the other people trying to make you feel bad for not being like them.

Not having a girlfriend doesn't make you gay, and neither does liking Disney.

Teens are mean. I haven't been through the same thing, but my best guy friend has. Just don't let it get to you. I know that's easier said than done, because honestly, I have trouble blowing things off, but in the end, it's not going to matter what they think. The quote, "Those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter" really is true. There will be a girl who will appreciate that you're not like a lot of other boys- jumping from girl to girl, not being able to be fine with being alone.

I have a friend who is more on the feminine side and that happens to him all the time and it is quite rude, but I personally think that people shouldn't take minor attributes of someone's character and then just say oh they must be homsexual.

Pfffft... don't listen to them. They're just trying to find a weak spot. Don't show that it bothers you and brush it off, like, "Yeah okay, you go ahead and think that." Act like it's so ridiculous you can't even believe they would think that for a second. That's what I used to do when I got bullied and the things people would say would stop within a week.
