Why do people do this????

Across from my work is a sit down restaurant. These people went in, tied their dogs up on a meter and sat down and ate!!! They've been in there over an hour. The dogs are soooo close to the street that my heart stopped a few times while people were parallel parking next to them. It's a busy street!! The dog can move in inch, be in the street and easily get hit by a car. Not to mention they are so tangled to the pole that they are straining and barking!

What is wrong with them?? I understand tying up the dog while you stop in and get a coffee...TO GO!!

Ugh, that's a huge pet peeve of mine, pun intended.

Sadly, to some people pets are like any other easily replaceable property. Or maybe these people are just plain Obliviots (oblivious idiots).

Don't even let me get started on this. Some people should NEVER have pets!!!

because some people just suck. Why bother taking your dogs at all....and if they wanted a coffee or something small, one person should be outside with the dogs and one person runs in. I greatly dislike people who leave dogs and kids by themselves in a car too. I just don't understand.

People do that here at the library. They tie their dogs up and them come in to look for books. It burns me up. I've gone out to lunch and come back an hour later to see then still there. Sometimes we'll have the owner paged: "Will the owner of the cute dog tied up outside please come to the front desk" You'd think that would make them feel bad. Poor doggies.

I can't stand it when people leave their dogs in the car while they go food shopping or any other kind of shopping as a matter of fact!! While I was Christmas shopping I ran into a store, the poor dog was sitting in teh car when I pulled up and it was still there when I left the store over 20 minutes later. It was really cold. I just think it is very mean. While we were Christmas shopping, we had our little bear with us (my dog, Jack) and we had to run into a wine store for a gift. My DH held the dog at the front of the store while I ran around and got what we needed. The reason we had him was because we stopped at Petsmart and he loves going there. The wine store was an after thought. People can be so mean to their animals. My dog is like my child. I would never leave him anywhere!!

People can be really thoughtless. The dog sitting in the car bothers me, too. And when you tell them that it is hot outside and the dog shouldn't be out there in the car, their reply is "Oh, the windows are open. Fluffy is fine." Yeah, the windows are open, but half an inch isn't going to do anything.
