Why do people do such stupid things?!

Sorry to hear about your car, I can understand why you were upset, I would be livid too. Hope you can get is sorted reasonably cheaply:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone :thumbsup2,

I know really when you put it in perspective its not that big a deal and much worse things happen to people but it is upsetting. Can't get on the property ladder at the moment and living at home with my parents gets me down quite a bit so the car kind of boosts my self esteem I suppose and to see that someone has been so selfish and stupid just really bugs me! I will get the aerial fixed for about £30 but the scratches are just going to have to stay for the time being. I had a minor bump in the work car park with my first car and when I got those scratches fixed it cost me £350 and I was in my first year at uni at the time so I'll never forget how I felt parting with that money :scared1:. This time I will get it sorted eventually but I'll have to put some money aside.

My parents house is in a nice area but there is always trouble with car crime. Its clearly the same people from the type of way they break in and time of year they strike but the police never get to the bottom of it. A car at the top of the road was totally smashed in :sad2:. Hope they are caught but as others have said, what difference does it make?

But thanks for the support and for listening to my rant :goodvibes.

It's not at all petty - I'm sorry people have to stoop this low. I hope you can get the scratches repaired reasonably.

I had an incident in Feb - I was driving down the duel carriage way near my house, about 2 junctions away and heard something hit my windscreen. When I looked over there was a crack on and around the tax disc (it stretched about as far as a small side plate). There were no other cars around so could not have been a stone and then when I got home in the middle of the crack there was a small indent - looked like someone had shot me with a pellet  It was also in the dark and they must have had a good view of the tax disc as it is lighter than everything else. I wasn't scared at all but just fumingly angry :furious: we're trying hard to save money and I had to get the windscreen replaced (only £75 on my insurance but I'd rather have spent that on something I want than my blooming windscreen). I know exactly who did it as they live in the vicinity (not going to mention it as I don't want to cause problems) but it does make you mad how people can live above the law. When DH was coming home that day he saw a police dog van parked nearby where it happened so I'm guessing a few people 'got shot' and some poor policeman had to go searching for the idiot/s (another waste of tax payers money).

:( How horrible.

It makes me feel sick the way some 'people' feel thjey have a right to damage/take other people's belongings.
