just curious, how old are you?
Yes, I think it's old posters from the Great Banning who've returned as newbies, here to start up trouble. It's funny how these "newbies" just happen to find old controversial threads to bump.
I actually think it's pathetic how these people still haven't found something productive to do with themselves, instead.![]()
I think it's funny and pathetic that people who were banned over a year ago are still being blamed for everything here that bugs someone. But I"m sure they are happy you are crying for them.
My idea on why the old threads get bumped is because people play revisionist history games here a LOT. When I see someone post something and go hmmmmm because I could have sworn she/he said something completely different a year or two ago I do indeed go back and look to see if I was remembering correctly. I think some are then bumped just to make a point.
Oh, and since everyone is always harping to do a search for any question you have that was already answered 2000 times, when you do a search you get old and new stuff to respond to. I know I've done that without realizing it on other websites.

You must agree that some of the banned do come back to stir up trouble, don't you? Not necessarily digging up old threads, but just to have fun? I don't think Izmadi is blaming everything that bugs someone on banned posters, but some do come back to play now and then.

I have done this myself, but not posted on a thread just to bring it back to life after 2 years.

so you are saying that older things cannot have any value or opinins?
Hmmm where is that number to AARP?![]()

What would that have to do with anything?
"old enough to know better, but young enough not to care?"
"you are as old as you feel"
"old enough to remember watching the original Mickey Mouse club on TV?"![]()

Just askin'. If you don't want to reveal, then don't. I have my suspicions, whether you want to confirm or disprove, it doesn't matter to me.![]()

confirm or DISprove what?
that I have an age?![]()

A few might be pot stirrers, but I think that especially on the communty board, newbies search for topics that might interest them or that discuss their "pet rocks." They post on them without realizing how old they are.

The person posting may actually be IN the time period of two years ago, when the thread was created.
Only aged things like RUM, retain their value.![]()

Someone did a search for Fart threads?![]()

That you are a precocious 12 year old that likes to agitate.

I posted once to an old thread that was brought up. Boy did I feel like an idiot when I realized it was started a few years back.
lets see...
when I was twelve...
the closest thing to the internet was a 60WPM teletype between Western Union offices!
..and if you are saying that threads agitate, then you are REALLY implying that the OP of that thread is an agitator, right?
Sooooooo, if any threads that you started are posted to, then you are saying that you yourself are an agitator!
RUM?![]()

I have to be honest, I don't search. If I don't see the question on the first two pages, I will ask in and incur the wrath of the ones that it bothers.
And actually, the one(s) that I see dredging up old threads for seemingly no reason have been around for awhile. I'm thinking it's a kid with nothing else to do.![]()
Seems as though every couple of months or so someone asks, "Why do people dig up threads that have been dead for a looooong time? "
I wonder if this is why manufacturers took agitators out of the new washing machines. Agitators are all online now.![]()

ohhhhh, that explains it.Seems as though every couple of months or so someone asks, "Why do people dig up threads that have been dead for a looooong time? "
I think it is pretty innocent myself.![]()
no big deal, I just thought it was kinda funny.![]()
OK, this is weird. I posted on this thread, but now my post is missing, as is the post I quoted. But I'm still subscribed.
And on another thread, I tried to do a quick post on something, hit "reply," got taken to the "go advanced" screen, and then when it finally did get submitted, my post was there twice.
I think I've entered the Twilight Zone...
