High-speed plug-in Internet is free or at least included at the Disneyland resorts.
If DVC were to tack it onto the annual fees however, it would be a LOT cheaper that the $10 per day. We all pay for things that we don't use. It's the fact that we are using things that others paid for and are not using that make it mostly fair for all.
There's a lot to be said for NOT using your computer on vacation though. On my last WDW trip I plugged in and tons of work e-mails started pouring in ACK!, I quickly shut-down Outlook so that I wouldn't get sucked into work mode. However, I was able to make Shuttle launch reservations and then track hurricane Ernesto online during my last trip.

It could be cheaper than $10 a day because at that rate you are basically paying for all the unused access, but the costs would go up if it was free because more people would use it requiring more and faster equipment. Either way I would sell DVC based on it being there or not

I don't like the old person smoking next to me either but I have a certain level of sympathy for them. They started smoking before it was known that it kills. I also figure they'll be dead soon enough anyway.

It isn't nice to confront old people.

I don't smoke and I have serious allergies to smoke. But I also respect all people regardless of their bad habits. Actually some people's attitudes toward others can be just as annoying and anger and rage can be as deadly.

There is no such thing as a considerate smoker

i will never get tired of disney or dvc.
but i use to get around 75 hours a week at work now im lucky to get 50 hours. times change that you may not expect,i got three contracts through disney another year of not getting much overtime i might have to sell one.

Technically I don't believe there is a smoke allergy to be an allergic reaction it requires a protien. Protiens are not found in smoke. You could be hypersensitive to smoke and that could aggrevate allergies.

Yes, that is so considerate. Now when I'm sitting out trying to enjoy a glass of wine and the scenerey I have smoke blowing into our face.

There is no such thing as a considerate smoker. Anyone who smokes in this day and age knowing what it does to them and others around them really needs some help. The old timers who started smoking before they publicized what it does to you....... they get a free pass. Anyone else who smokes anywhere near my family is going to deal directly with me. I start by asking nicely for them to put it out. If that doesn't work..... well then I'll take it to the next level if need be.

Your right to smoke does not out weigh my families right to smoke free air.

Nothing beats a glass of jamesons and a good cigar on my balcony. If you don't like it shut your door. Don't really care about you or your so called allergies. I work hard to be able to afford both and frankly I'm sick of the poor me crowd so get over it or stay home...

As much as I'd love to entertain this post, I found out in another thread that smoking issues are to be restricted to the smoking thread. I'd be happy to discuss it over there.
