Why do a B2B cruise?

Soooo, I've been reading, researching, immersing, etc. for the last few weeks. One thing has me puzzled. Why do some people like to do B2B cruises? Is there an advantage? Or do you just want a 7 night in the Bahamas?

I've found that (depending on the sailing) Two B2B cruises can be a hair cheaper than one 7nt cruise. Besides, many people are very excited about the new ship and want to spend more time on it than 3 or 4 nights. Also there's that little thing about spending two days at CC! That alone is worth the price of admission.

I think this summer and next summer a lot more people are doing B2B cruises on the shorter cruises because there is no 7 day option with the Magic in Europe the whole summer.

We usually do B2B 7 night cruises because we like very long vacations. We are doing B2B on the Dream next year because we want to see the new ship, do the inaugural sailing but can't even imagine just a 4 night cruise!

Wow, now THIS sounds like heaven! I always just assumed 3/4 nights. B2B 7's would be incredible! I am just have to plan one of these in the future. Of course, they sail home to dock so it would be weird not getting off the ship. (I mean they sail me home - I live 20 minutes from Port Canaveral.)

I will warn you, B2B 7 nighters are addictive. It is very difficult to go back to just a 7 night cruise (let alone anything shorter than that) after you do a couple B2B's.

And now 2 B2B 7 nights can not beat the EB Panama 15 days...The more days the better!
