Why didn't I think of this before!

I was just thinking of the themes for the month in VMK. I have a great one that I'm sure someone has thought of but why didn't I think of this sooner.

Why not have Star Wars themed month! They could have it the same month as Star Wars weekend. They could star wars themed items such as Stormtrooper helmets and stuff like that. Oh and a Yoda hat similar to stitch hat! They could even have special items only available at STar Wars weekends if you visit the parks.

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I am a huge Star Wars fan, and I would really like to see this happen in VMK. I'm not sure how it would work, though. Costumes would be fine; I could see a Yoda hat like a Stitch hat being sold. The only thing I worry about are lightsabers. Some aggressive players might go overboard and pretend to kill each other with them. :lmao:

Apart from that, I think you have a great idea going!

Which is why I said they could easily take out the Twilight Zone references. The Tower of Terror itself has no connection to TZ (as in the attraction is based off nothing that TZ ever did)...it's all a Disney concept, and therefore they can do with that as they please. The only part that does not belong to them is the "Twilight Zone" part, but they could very easily lose all connection with that....just as Tokyo DisneySea did with their Tower of Terror.

Exactly, i have the tower of terror movie starring a young kirsten dunst and the title is Tower of Terror, with no metion of Twilight Zone. Also, like someone said, the story was made by the creative minds of the Imagineers so as long they dont cross into the Twilight Zone, that would be an amazing month. I would absolutley love that month!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Tokyo DisneySea's version is radically different from the others. Even the videos scare me :rotfl:

That's not true. The whole "Fifth Dimension" scene and the ending scene are both based off of the beginning part of the show and the episode "Little Girl Lost."

Basically the only thing we could do with it would be to have elevator teleporters and a HTH hotel room-type room. Now that taken and bay be is banned VMK has no excuse not to give us a hotel-style room :thumbsup2

Yeah, thanks for the info..rofl

I think Diana DeGarmo Month. Though she was on FOX's amazingly popular American Idol she is not only for FOX she does Disney. Like she sang the song Reachin' For Heaven on Ice Princess and in 2005 just a year after her Idol appearence she sang for a Radio Disney special. Star Wars is not Disney Diana DeGarmo is Disney.(Just my opinion feel fre to disagree.)

Hmm A little green guy with a light saber that knows everything....sounds like a star wars month is right up my alley

I hate star wars, I hate sci-fi, I hate space but I think it would be a rather different month then these exact same month themes we had from last year.

This may be a bit tricky. While LucasFilm and Disney do have a partnership, the movies are not Disney. The movies were produced and distributed by 20th Century Fox. While I am all about Star Wars (hey I'm in a SW costuming club and have my own Stormtrooper armor for it), I doubt they would go through so much trouble of getting the rights for VMK just for a themed month.

I agree. I am sure this would also result in paying Lucas some royalties. Not a good business move for a free game.

Also, with the upcoming change from Disney MGM Studios to Disney-Pixar Studios, the Star Wars weekends might be discontinued.

There are a lot of changes coming to Disney Studios, many of which are pulling out the MGM-labled attractions. Man, I hope GMR does not change.

Considering that she has NOTHING to do with Disney, I doubt it.

Again, which is why I said they can do with it as they please...because ToT is Disney's concept, not someone elses. So yes, they can radically change it because it's theirs to begin with.

While there are elements from TZ, the Tower of Terror is not based on an actual TZ episode. The attraction is a Disney concept. They can VERY easily remove any TZ references and do with ToT as they please. Which is what they did with Tokyo DisneySea...and which is why it's so radically different as you mentioned.

She sang on Ice Princess though and that's a disney channel movie!haha!
Technically Ice Princess is a Walt Disney Pictures movie, not a Disney Channel movie...those are two different parts of the company. ;)

Singing for Disney once or twice doesn't make them Disney. Star Tours is in Disney World, but that doesn't make Star Wars Disney. Diana DeGarmo is under contract with RCA, which is not a Disney company.
