Why didn't I find hotwire sooner???

Just discovered hotwire and managed to book 2 hotels with it for our summer vacation - got a $189USD westin for $102 and a doubletree near the airport in Seattle that lists for $159 for $69 - was like opening a gift at Christmas finding out where we were staying!!
Both hotels are in the locations we want and have all the ammenities we were looking for!! 24hr shuttle at the doubletree will come in handy for our 6am flight home!!

Those are great rates. Just make sure to call the hotel a few days ahead to make sure they have the request for 2 beds.

Just an FYI Priceline will not guarantee 2 beds, but I hear that hotwire is better putting in requests for 2 beds.

I read that too which is why I stayed away from priceline.

Now if only I could find a decent priced flight from BUF to SEA on Aug 8th we would be set!!! Managed to get coming home for $110 taxes in with just 1 stopover but best I can do going there is $129 with 2 stops and over 12 hrs travelling time!

Good Luck, I am trying hard to stay away from looking at all the good travel deals this summer, and I do have to go to BC to visit family.

The plan is to stay under budget for travel this year so we can do a cruise at spring break next year on the RCCL Freedom of the Seas and then do one of the European cruises on the Magic.... but it is hard as some of the deals I have seen are pretty amazing.

I am addicted to using Hotwire! I used it for 4 different hotels during our 2 week California trip last summer and saved a ton of money. If you go to Betterbidding.com it can help you determine what hotel you are probably going to get..it's for hotwire and priceline users.

Thanks for that link!! It was kind of neat geting past the paying part and finding out which hotel we got - was like opening a Christmas present!!

I'm going to need 1 more hotel for the start of our trip so I'll try it out for that one too!

The bookings are non-refundable on hotwire, correct?

That's right. There was insurance you could buy for not alot of money but we opted out. I'll be there even if I have to walk!!
