We canceled our annual August trip this year. The primary reason was the mask requirement, but I'm wondering what was the reason for others? For those of you that ACTUALLY canceled your vacation, what was the reason?

We canceled our Disneyland trip that was set for the last week of September. Who knows when DL is opening again? Then ended up planning a WDW trip for the same week. At first we didn’t want to because of the masks and character meet and greets not happening. But, after reading reports from people and financially having this trip be close to the same as DL we decided to go for it. The cavalcades and characters around the parks seems really good too. Our kids have been practicing wearing their masks and our 2 yr old seems to be doing good with them too so we are going!

Could also add one for me.. "liked my August trip so much I booked another for September!"

Didn't vote because its multiple reasons.
-Masks were not a major issue until they said gaiters were not allowed. Its the only type that I have found to not fog my glasses and not make me hyperventilate. I'm still working on finding an acceptable one that works for me.
-I do not fear contracting it personally but my sister and I do live with my parents in their 70's and as a teacher soon she will be exposing them daily and we are just looking to add to that by going on a non essential vacation. (Don't get me wrong Disney is pretty dang essential to my life and it pains me to not go but I want to keep my parents around).
-Quarantining is also a big part of it because I live in NYS and Florida will likely be on the list for a long time.

Other things that are small factors that add up are the fact that there is no park hopping and we love quick and dirty trips with no more than 3 park days.
No fireworks are also a bit of a bummer.
No dining plan stinks. (controversial I know)
No FP+ stinks (controversial again)
Another big thing for us is we love MNSSBP and MVMCP.
Reduced hours actually don't bother me since there is no park hopping anyways and with the lower crowds you could spend that 8-9 hours and get everything that's open done and then go relax.
We usually go warrior style so it be nice to relax.

We were supposed to go in August and November this year.
We are now aiming for next year at those times if we can hold out that long.

We canceled because the feature pools weren’t promised and they promised to not have playgrounds. That’s borderline abusive when the parks are also closed (which they were).
We stayed at an off property resort, The Regal Palms, which had everything open.
