The update aligns it with the way the DL/DCA app is set up. I used the DLR app last month and found it confusing because an icon that looks like a funnel doesn't entice you to tap it especially when you only have to choose between two parks.

If you turn your phone to "landscape," the signatures and post counts do show up.

The new update took this option away - that is what the OP poster was asking about. You now have to go to the home screen and select attractions and then you can filter by park and/or other options.

Oh! I guess my app hasn't updated yet!! Good to know!!

The update just doesn't seem to be as user friendly as the old version.

1) I am not sure why the map is the default view when pushing the attractions menu

2) I am not sure why (by default) they show you EVERY attraction for every park.

3) The wait times are there .. but they are now "hidden" by being displayed in the same font and same color as everything else.


Maybe the app acts better when you are IN the park and just brings up the list of that park you are in?

When you are in the park it defaults to the map view when you click attractions, so I did see wait times in my immediate area when it first loaded. When you change to the list view it lists all attractions, so you have to filter by park even when you are in the park.

I discovered the update on Friday while in DHS. After several minutes of searching for wait times, I resorted to searching twitter to find out where they put them. Really annoying when they make updates like this for no reason, especially with such an important feature.

Btw, what is your advice regarding whether I should update my MDE app? I updated it after the FP+ changes a month ago, but not since then. Do you think I should keep my current version? The new one sounds like a PIA.... (Or is it easy once you get the hang of it?)

I think you should update the MDE app as there have been reports of people having difficulty scheduling ADRs due to not updating.

The update is fine in all areas (Dining, FP) and just takes some getting used to the Attractions > Wait Times > Funnel .
