Why did Disney create the Disney Princess Enchanted Calls and why was it a failure?

Disney used to have a smart idea that you could do special phone calls to your kids for bedtime birthdays and many other holidays with Disney Princesses called Disney Princess Enchanted Calls and how it worked was you selected your child's special day favorite princess and your phone number and time to recieve the call and once the call was recieved the child got a special message from their favorite princess and it was similar to the wake-up calls you get at Disney resorts. But in my mind I think this idea failed because not only did the calls cost so much money but most people never recieved the princess calls at the time they requested. I know this because my mom tried to get a Disney Princess Enchanted Call for me for my birthday and never recieved one. What was the main reason Disney stopped doing these? Because it seemed like a smart idea for kids to recieve a special call message for birthdays and bedtime and Disney should've made them for free rather than making the Disney Princess Enchanted Calls pay expensive money for parents to give their kids something special

I think Disney should invent something like the Disney Princess Enchanted Calls but this time have the princesses sing special songs for birthdays special songs for bedtime holiday songs for Christmas and Easter songs for Easter along with a special message that has the princesses say your child's name and wishes for that special day and your child's name would be put in the songs too and how you would customize these messages would be putting your child's name your child's favorite princess and the occasion the message is for and what the message will say and it would work like this,
"Hello "child's name,
This is Ariel "or any princess" wishing you have the best day today
"Hope your day is very magical today
Goodbye "child's name"
Love "name of princess"
This idea of personalized calls and special messages have been very popular for parents with children who love having stuff with their names on it makes them feel special so this idea could do well for Disney and best of all it would be free with no charge on your phone or tablet. Because I really think the problem with the Disney Princess Enchanted Calls was that they were pricey and many people who bought them were disappointed at receiving no calls at the time they requested but this idea would be really cool

We placed multiple orders for Enchanted Calls from various Disney characters in the early 00s. They weren't free but inexpensive, like $2. It was however very basic, like "Hi xxxx, Can't wait to see you real soon! Your pal Mickey". If I recall correctly, you could select the purpose of the call from a drop-down menu. Birthday, vacation, etc. Characters were limited.

It probably wasn't a huge success because it wasn't heavily advertised.
