Why did Commando Nikki cross the road?

I don't know how I missed Beatlebum's name being Brandy. I only read all 40+ parts of that trip report. I must have glossed over it somewhere.

I don't think I ever wrote her real name in the trip report, it was a question in one of the threads that I responded to.

She prefers Beatlebum OR Bea, she doesn't like the name Brandy. She asked me why I wasn't more original and name her Tequila or Rum and coke.

She's quiet and shy, but she is witty.

We don't call her Brandy, and it sounds funny to us now to call her that. I think the only one that calls her Brandy is the schools but she is quick to correct them.

Robin that is funny about Beatlebum wanting to be called something different .. my mom and sister have called me SIS forever ( since my sister was little - she is 9 years younger then me ) so when they call me MICHELLE i am like what .. and then my kids have picked up on it and call me Sis just to get me going !! I thought you might have named her after that old song "Brandy you fine girl - what good wife you would , but love and life is the sea "

As already mentioned, you're the only person I know who could make taking a walk around the block a fun and funny story. LOL!!

Oh -- and we play "Cat Hockey" all the time with our two kittens. Our two older ones, Skye and Sienna, have learned to stay away from the feet. Leo and Gabi still think it's great to go flying when we accidentally kick them. Silly cats. LOL!

I swear they think the end off our feet is a ride. I really don't do it on purpose, the first 30-40 times she did it really caught me by surprise.

I am going for distance now, I was working on style. She always has the same all four paws streched out and using her tail as a rudder thing. On a few occations I got a spin out of her.

I think sometimes she watches me walk and thinks "Cool! No lines for that ride!" and jumps out in front of me.

My friend thought I was mean the first time she saw it happen. I explained to her, 'It's our thing.'

She only does it to me, no one else in the family. She's a brat.

I swear Commando Nikki is me just a bit younger. I was also the editor of my high school paper and LOVED it. Tell her the University of Missouri has a great Journalism program I'm looking for a whistle to take to WDW - shhh! Don't tell my husband.

The whistle is very effective at getting people out of bed.

Em only lives with us part time, we have shared custody with her mom.

Em caught pneumonia and the flu. She also had an alergic reation to the first antibiotic she was on.

She is doing much better, been a little chatter box all day.

I'm going to tell Nikki about UM. She really loves Journalism. She's going to be great at it.

She goes to all the town meetings and school board meetings. If some one wants to meet and discuss anything, Nikki is right there.

It really is a great program and tough to get into. It is in Columbia, MO which is about 2 hours from where I am. She will always be welcomed in our home to do laundry if she gets a long weekend break
