Why Crystal Palace?

I have booked Crystal Palace for dinner. Do you eat there because the food is good or because of the characters? When I made the ressies, I wanted some variation and since we are eating for free and have three 2 year olds to take on this trip I thought I would put a couple character meals in the mix (I also have Chef Mickeys). Now that I am getting closer to D day, I am just wondering if I should skip this one. The babies don't really care about Winnie the Pooh either way. If the food is good however, then we will just keep it. Thank you.

we have gone to Crystal Palace with kids and without them....last year four adults and we loved the food and the atmosphere too....Prime rib melted in our mouths and the salmon was delicious.....they have many choices for your kiddos and for the adults....

We love everything. The atmosphere, location, characters, food... CP is one of our favourite restaurants in the World.

I voted "food," but it's really more about the setting than anything else. It's in the MK and it's beautifully themed to the Victorian era. You can get the same food elsewhere on property, but you can't get that setting anywhere else!

I love the food. That pulled pork is so good. The characters are great but I'd go even without them.

Which isn't to say the food is bad. It's absolutely NOT...in fact, it's pretty good.

But we book the meal because our kids are big Pooh lovers (that sounds so wrong...), so that makes it a must do. The fact it has good eats just makes it a happier stop for me and DW.

This one was hard to decide. We love them both, but I voted food. We also go because it is a convenient table service in MK. Some days we will travel to a monorail resort others we just like to stay in the park to eat.

When I first made this ressie the last year it was our first "big" WDW trip. We went before but really didn't do any TS meals.

Well DH wasn't crazy about paying "all this money" for all these meals. So the first ressie I made was for CP. He was a Winnie the Pooh lover as a kid.

The place is gorgeous. The food was really good. The characters are cute! DH loved it and now it's a must do for us every trip. Actually now we do an ADR a day! He LOVES character meals!

We also had our 2 yera old and I was afraid that she wouldn't like the characters. She doesn't watch Winnie the Pooh or anything but she LOVED them!

Both the food and the characters are great! My kids are too old for Winnie the Pooh and gang, but we still love going to Crystal Palace.

The service is the best too!

We love it at CP because the food is great, the atmosphere is great, the character interaction is great and it is in the MK!! What's not to love!!!

Give it a shot and I'll bet you enjoy it!

I would pick another (non-buffet) dinner and do CP for breakfast out of pocket. I don't like the lunch/ dinner offerings but the breakfast is the bomb!

I believe that they are obstructed by the porch. It's too close to the castle to get a good view from inside.

Just DH and I. We enjoyed lunch in '06 and are going for dinner our first night in WDW. We will be at the park by 2 or so and have ADR's at CP that evening.

CP ROCKS. It is definitely one of our favorites on WDW property. In fact we usually eat there twice in a typical trip, once for lunch and once for dinner. As a PP said, the characters are a bonus.

This is my fave character meal BECAUSE of the food. The salmon and all the sides are fabulous!!!!!!!!!!! The prime rib is very good too, but that salmon, oh the salmon (And I don't even LOVE fish). And their broccoli, of all things, is GREAT here!
