The "Why Cry" gadget!

Like Johnson and Johnson shampoo, Pedro Monagas' goal is no more tears. The inventor from Spain has created a gadget that he says can explain why a baby is crying. The device runs on batteries, and can identify what's upsetting any baby within 20 seconds of their first tears. There are 5 faces listed on the machine's screen and the appropriate one lights up when an answer is found. The 5 faces are hunger, boredom, being tired, stress, and discomfort. The "Why Cry," as it's called will go on sale in Spain at the end of the month for a little under $100. No word on when and if it will come to the America.

That reminds me of the Simpson's episode where Homer's brother invents a baby translater :)

i could have used one of those when DS was a baby! i could not for the life of me figure out his different cries. i thought i was the absolute worst mother on earth. turns out he really did only have one cry. he is partially deaf in one ear. not bad really. you cant tell now. he is 6. but for a first time mom that was very traumatizing. i cried for weeks before we found out.
