Why can't we have a towncar?

I am booked with Tiffany for our trip, but I had a question that I handled via email and one I called on the phone about, and the replies were unclear and almost to the point of seeming rude. The man I spoke with on the phone was nice but he was very rushed and did not give me all the info I was looking for. I realize the other phone lines were ringing, but I am a customer as much as the other people.

ANYWAY, I emailed FL Tours about the same things, to see if they would be a better match for us. I received a prompt response (on a weekend, which I didn't expect) from Andy, he seemed very polite and helpful, gave all the info I needed, but said for our situation (2 adults, 2 children--1 in booster, 1 in carseat) they did not recommend using a car, but instead a van (he did say that if we chose the car, that they would accommodate us). Does anyone know why that would be? It doesn't upset me, I'm just curious. I haven't emailed back to ask why, because I haven't had a chance to discuss it with DH yet. I'm thinking it might just be a space issue, but as long as DH can ride in front with the driver, I will be ok with both boys/seats in the back, as I am very tiny; I've ridden this way with them in the backseat of our Jeep with no problem.

Thank you for any input!

Because, as you know, with 2 carseats, the adult in the backseat will be very cramped.

I'm sure Andy has had plenty of customers who show up thinking a towncar fits four (which it can) and they see four XXL size people, or two XXL size people and two needing carseats. So he probably just recommends a van - that way no one is disappointed.

(I'm thin and ride with my kids in the back of my parents Jeep, as well. But I wouldn't want to be as little as twenty pounds overweight and do it!)

Most likely, he just wanted you to be comfortable and not squeezed in between 2 car seats. Also, families with kids this young tend to travel with LOTS of stuff, he may also be concerend about there being enough space in the trunk. Lincoln's have BIG trunks, but there is a limit!

Happy travels!

Thanks to you both, that's pretty much what I was thinking too. As I said, I wasn't upset or anything, just curious! I'm going to try to talk DH into getting the van, we probably will be more comfortable.
