Why can't people READ!

I have some things posted for sale on Craigslist, and I keep getting emails asking questions that are....clearly answered in the ad.

Ad says "For sale: Table and Four Chairs".

I have received at least six emails asking "are the chairs included?"

The dimensions are also listed, but I get emails about that. And "where are you located" when my city and cross streets are also listed, right there in the ad.

It makes me wonder how they managed to find the ad, and click on the link to email me, when they clearly have no reading comprehension skills.

Since I want to sell this stuff, I am trying to be polite, but I just want to keep saying "read the ad" to everyone.

Craigslist brings out the stupid in people. I listed a camera phone for $100. I got e-mails asking if it was cheap :confused3 and if it came with a leather case (don't you *think* I would have mentioned it) :confused3

Perhaps, they just want to be sure? If your ad (& I can only go by what you posted here) doesn't specifically state something along the lines of "kitchen set for sale, includes table & 4 chairs $100.00", the way it is worded could lead some to believe otherwise.

I was at a yard sale where someone had a sign table & chairs for sale, but they didn't match each other & all (each individual piece) were being sold separately - not as a set. Maybe the people who called you have had similar experiences as I had??

As far as dimensions & location - well I can't come up with an excuse for that.

i never answer the stupid questions and i always sell all my stuff ::yes:: good luck! i know how frustrating it can be! my favorite is the: CAN YOU DELIVER question, when it says : PICK UP ONLY in my ad :teeth:

I don't know, It's the same thing when the sign says "No Flash Photography" yet people insist on taking the photographs ... *shrug* I guess they have to either Prove that things either are as they say they are or that rules don't apply to them. People (as a whole) Are idiots.. Myself included at times. ;P

There's a picture of the table, with the four chairs, and the ad says "table and four chairs - $75".

I actually went back and added this line though:

"Here are the cross streets near my home. If you don't know this area, please look it up on Mapquest or similar. If that is too far for you to drive, then please do not answer this ad. "

I stayed home for two hours yesterday to wait for some woman who never showed up and emailed me later saying "well, it was farther than I thought, sorry".

I really don't like doing yard sales, but that may be the way to go.
