Why can't I get the additional smilies?

When I click "More", no additional smilies pop up. I used to be able to get them all the time - what happened?

Maybe you have a pop up blocker enabled on the DIS site. Have you installed any new virus protection or anything else like that lately? I know that I couldn't get the "more" smilies or any pm messages to pop up in a new window until I added the DIS address to my "allowed pop ups from..." list.

Not only is there pop up blockers in new virus protection, but also in the mail, like yahoo, or aol, or verizon. I recently got verizon dsl and they had put pop up blockers automatically on my system for all sites without me even knowing it had happened until I went to use something here on the DIS.

Gee I was all excited thinking that was MY problem too. I allowed pop-ups but it still will not allow me to see all of the smilies. I can see 52 of 162 smilies.

I just figured it out - I had to turn off my Norton anti-virus to get them.

Do you have Norton? You might need to turn it off for a little while during your DIS sessions.

Which version, GG? I am using NAV 2005 and I don't have to turn it off to get the extra smilies.

I'm glad you figured it out. I've had to hold the control key down before when a computer has a pop up blocker on it.

Do you have Norton? You might need to turn it off for a little while during your DIS sessions.

I would not recommend running your PC without anti-virus protection if it is connected to an outside source (the Net), or for that matter, even if not connected, as you could have a trojan horse residing on your PC, waiting for an opportunity. I would rather not have smilies than have a virus, or worse.
