Why can't I get jazzed about Christmas ADRs?

Is there a support group for those of us who can't get psyched up to do all the prep work for ADRs? We are going Christmas week, and my 180 day window is tomorrow morning. But for the life of me, I simply don't want to deal with the ADRs! I know I need to though, right? If I want any chance of having a sit down meal?

A little background: We are annual visitors to WDW and are DVC members. So we always have a kitchen and it is always stocked with "real" food. Our "normal" routine is breakfast in the room, CS lunch at the parks, then half dinners at the villa and half in the parks. We very rarely make ADRs before our arrival, because we don't like to be locked into a specific park on a specific day. We take weather into account, park fatigue, etc, and then decide most of that when we arrive and change it as we go. Usually we can get ressies the day before by scooping up something someone else cancelled. Is that strategy out the window for Christmas week? We've never been during that week, so I just don't know.

For the life of me I don't know what my problem is today. I just don't want to look up park hours, extra magic hours, parade and show times, etc. Then I have to go look up recommended park days. Then decide which park I would like to go to on what days for a vacation that is six months away. Then get up in the wee hours of the morning to try and weed through an online system that is weak, at best, and see if I can get anything.

We don't need any of the "big" ADRs. No CRT. No BOG. But I also don't want to have eat CS for every park meal. Am I up a creek here? Thoughts?

I think it's the weather. We are also going that week, but we are off site so I have to think about the crowds and all.

As much as I love Christmas and being a crafter, I have a Christmas shelf all year...it's just so hard to think about cold when we are sitting in 100+ heat indexes. I was so looking forward to this week to book the ADR's, but I too didn't want to get up and look at it this morning. but I pushed through and booked Pooh & Friends for lunch on Christmas Eve (crazy!). the website was working against my internet.

I guess you will have to just make the mock itinerary and if it is important to book, you'll know what to do. I think you will be in just as good shape either way..given that you know the parks and all.

Just make some non credit card ADR's at resorts near where you are staying or at a park or two you frequent the most. Skip looking at park hours, prades, show times, recommended park days, etc. Could always cancel (or just not show up). Don't get up extar early-just do it when you get up. At least you will have something.
