Why can't I buy 150pts then do 120pt add-on for the incentive?

LIFERBABE oh that is how you do it....... then you are the saint
(to save him all that trouble of knowing about it :rotfl: )

i would not be able to get away of being a saint  my DH is always right there asking and recording, how many points did we use, how many points do we have left , how many points are you going to use, how many points did we buy, you get what i mean :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

although $87 a point plus the incentives would be nice, since the points are going up...... i would still like to hold out for the rumor about the contemporary :rotfl:

and dont forget on your dvc cruise i am sure dvc will try to make that deal sweet to add on...... :goodvibes

A small update ....

Today I received a call from DVC. I guess I never called the number they sent with the package within 48 hours, so they called me to check on things.
It was mostly a courtesy call to make sure I understood how everything worked. But the thing of interest was that he told me as of 2 days ago (4/29/05) I was a fully vested member of DVC. Even though my closing is estimated on 6/5/05, I have all the rights and benefits as someone who has owned since the beginning. Therefore I am eligible for all benefits and incentives even though I didn't close yet. :teeth: Hopefully my guide will be back tomorrow and will call so I can get the rest of the information on my add-on. :mickeybar

That's great news! Congratulations SOS!

I just want to point out that your situation is different from the OP's in that you purchased a BCV contract. That is why your paperwork moved so quickly and your closing is processing. Your closing is projected for 6/5/05, but your unit is readily available and you will most likely close before that.

I know my closing date was moved up by several weeks for my SSR add-on because I purchased 2004 points.

The OP seems to have purchased an SSR building that is not even constructed yet which will push back his fully vested status.

I agree with Doc that everyone should call their guide, because each situation is unique and although it seems that others were allowed to take advantage of the incentive, many factors are different.

Thanks for the helpful info rascalmom....

"he said that we can start the add-on as soon as we are part the recision date on our contract + 3 days."

...I spoke with a different guide and it looks like I'll be able to pull it off...they are sending me the contract this week for the first 150point contract...after I sign and send back, I am told I can start the add-on 18 days later and get it rolling just in time to make the incentive offers. I'm quite excited.

You're welcome!

I will be testing the waters on this tomorrow. We signed the papers on April 15th - so tomorrow is 15 days past our recision date + 3 that they allow for mailing. I'll be calling my guide in the morning. I'll keep you updated.

:cool1:

Just spoke to my guide (thanks Joaquin!!!) about my add-on. Gave them the cc# for the deposit & my papers are on their way.

I told him that I was sort of a test-case here on the boards because there was speculation about whether this could actually be done without a closed master contract.

He said he had checked with 3 supervisors (I think he is fairly new) & they all said it was okay. The master contract just has to be in RTC status - that DOES stand for "Ready to Close" - means everything is done except the construction of the building. Said I would be able to make a ressie with my bonus points from the add-on in 5 days. Wooo-Hooo!!!

We're now 270 point members - our guide called the 120 point add-on our "little home improvement project"!

So you got the add-on at $87/point and the 100 point bonus?

Yes! We took the $87 per point on the initial SSR contract for 150 points. For the 120 point add-on we got $87 pp & the 100 point bonus. We signed the master SSR contract on 4/15. Started the process for the add-on over the phone with my guide today (5/3). Our add-on will be for 120 SSR points.

Good for you! I hope I can take advantage of the same incentives but I just bought my first 150 points at SSR this week so I'm not sure if I'll make it before the rates go up.

We have not been officially told when this current member incentive ends, so good luck to all of you! :wizard:
