Why can't I book my FP+

Hi all, this whole FP+ thing has me a bit baffled.
So, I've linked my reservation to the MDE app. We booked our holiday through the disney UK website. We have a confirmation number that is ABC 123456, when we booked with a travel agent last year our confirmation number was 10 digits.
So when I try to book a fast pass it's assaying that they have no records of that confirmation number.
Is this a known issue? If there's a simple fix I'd prefer that than have to go to the trouble of phoning them.
Has anyone managed to book theirs with a UK confirmation number?

Hmm that's strange. I haven't tried booking FP yet. Did your confirmation number work for ADRs?
 
You say, you've already linked your reservation? But then you're saying that it doesn't recognise the confirmation number? Is your reservation showing on MDE?

If not, try using the confirmation number without the 'ABC' bit :confused3
 

I had this problem when trying to do something with MDE so I phoned Disney (USA) and it turns out the confirmation no that the USA use is different to the one the UK use! :confused3 They gave me the USA confirmation no (12 digits) the UK one is only 10 digits.

It cost about £7.00 in call charges but I felt it was worth it to sort it out. :thumbsup2

Don't phone the US number, there is a UK number you can call - it's 0800 028 0778. They close at 4 on a Sunday though.
 
Yeah, it worked fine fir my ADRs, got them all booked no probs.

Were you able to book 180+10? If not, this doesn't necessarily mean your reservation has linked. As I said above, can you see your booking when you log in to MDE? It might sound like a stupid question but have you got tickets linked?

Think maybe there's something in this.
So when I log on to MDE (I use an ipad for all this) I can see my Old Key West reservation, with all 3 of us linked to it. When I scroll down to tickets ,only myself and my daughters tickets are there, there's nothing about my other half. If I try to link a ticket it asks for a number on the actual ticket or I can scan a QR code.
When I was trying to link earlier it said that my number did not match there records. Now my 60 days doesn't start for a day, so obviously I knew that it wouldn't actually work,but I'd hoped that I'd be at least able to have a dry run.

So it may well be the fact that only 2 tickets are showing up, I've just checked our emails and all three tickets are showing there and on our invoice OK.

OK, so you need to phone the UK number I gave you and they should be able to get the third ticket to link (you won't be able to call until tomorrow now). You wont' be able to book FP+ for your actual date but obviously if you wanted to have a trial run, you should be able to book for within the next 30 days. If you can't get your OH's ticket linked, you can book the FP+ you want for the two of you and then should be able to copy the FP+ across to your OH when the final ticket is linked.

You wouldn't even get to have a dry prior to you 60 day window unless you only booked for 30 days out. The 60 days will only be allowable for the dates of your resort stay.
 
One thing you could try meantime is logging in to MDE on a PC/laptop as I found nothing was showing up on my iPad until after I had logged in on the laptop and then it all showed up on the iPad.

I can't book anything, even up to 30 days give me the same error message. I'm not a hundred per cent sure that this app is working as Disney intended yet. Having said that it was easy enough to do all my ADRs.

Will maybe try this too, I've not turned on my laptop in about 6 months :) all my browsing is now done through my ipad. Never thought I'd say that.

The number I posted actually connects to the US and they are probably still open now.

Not sure about tomorrow as it's a holiday there too
 
Another thought, do your ipad apps update automatically as there was an update of MDE on 15/5.

I often have problems with the Dis app and delete it then download again from "already purchased" apps.

All FP+ booked. Was quite easy in the end :)
Had to phone but just used the UK number posted above.
