Why can't I book Christmas/New Year 2016/2017 yet?

Hi there,
Me and my partner are looking to honeymoon in WDW Christmas this year.
Disneys own site won't let us though, its only allowing bookings up to the end of December.
Does anyone know why this is, or when it might become available???
I'm worried that it's a popular time of year and we don't want to miss our chance to get it booked :s

Because package prices haven't been released.

You can book a room only reservation if you want to.
