Why can I not make a decision this time -- need input

This should have been simple -- We have AP's and I am planning to take my daughter for a 5 night trip right before school starts back.

The plan was Aug. 15-20 Yacht Club or Beach Club with regular dining plan -- just planning to eat at whatever restaurants are available. Well, as luck would have it, the AP rates end on Aug. 14 and pick back up on Aug. 17th.

There is a public room only discount for that time frame but that means no dining plan since we will not also be buying tickets.

Then I started thinking about doing CL level for a couple of days, but the CL level at BC/YC does not look that appealing.

So then I start thinking we should look at the Poly CL level or should we just stay off site -- I could stay at the Waldorf for less money, but then my DD requested BC/YC b/c she wanted Stormalong Bay.

Just writing all of this out is at least helping me get my thoughts on this organized.

Why did Disney have to leave out those 2 silly days in the middle of the week for the AP discount when they are offering a public discount for those days? I am just so frustrated.

Thanks for letting me vent.

I am open to any suggestions on how best to handle this. I feel like I can't see the forest for the trees.

I would stay at the BC/YC and book with the GP room discount and pay OOP for meals. Or, you could always book 8/15 & 8/16 with the GP discount and pay OOP for meals for those 2 days and then book an AP+Dine package for 8/17-8/20 ;).

That's what I am doing. I have AP's for me and my daughter, too. We are booking the general discount for August 15th and 16th and paying OOP for quick service meals (or eating light at full service restaurants).

Then, we move to an AP rate on August 17th and switch to a meal plan for a few nights.

I like it--best of both worlds. But I agree that it is perplexing as to why Disney left those two nights out when there is a GP offer available.

I like those suggestions. Just plan on your more expensive meals for the time when you have the dining plan.
