why blackout nov 7th?

i was hoping to get free dining for our trip but our dates nov 7th - nov 12 are blacked out....does anyone know why?....i thought jersey week was the first week in november. I was hoping it won't be too busy during our week....do you think they blocked it out because of jersey week? will it be crazy crowded???

Food and Wine Festival. They extended it through the second week of November this year. We're going the same time as you (11/5-11/14) so I understand your frustration.

also frustrated about the dates...i had a 40% pin for many dates in october and november but didnt use it because the dates were wrong. I was hoping to get free dining and now that didn't work and I am paying 800 more than I would have been....i will get over it though as long as it is not totally crazy because of jersey week. Anyone have experience being there during jersey week?????

I was shocked that Jersey Week was blocked. Halloween I can see..but I didn't think that many traveled from NJ to effect the FD discount. I even thought that it was the last week of the FW but now that I read that was extended I don't understand it either.

And we have been Jersey Week for the past 3 years. It is crowded, but much better then Easter, Christmas or the first week of FD in August- all times when we go.

Ok, I am not shocked at all about Jersey week being blocked with ALL the blackout dates, but I wonder what is up with the FAWF going into November of this year. We have never done that event, but I will someday.
