Why aren't they use MONTHS

Look, I know there are a number of important issues to discuss as the moment. And this ins't one of them. But why are they called USE YEARS instead of USE MONTHS?

Because your allotted points are good for a year, not a month.

I found it confusing at first, too, but as Diane stated, your points can be used for a year. So it's just a question of when that year starts. Sometimes people refer to the starting month of their Use Year as the "Use Year Month" but it's easier to just say "I have an Oct Use Year".
