Why aren't rooms available?

Plugging in dates for mid to late June 2014 and it appears that most deluxe villas are not available? WOuld I have more success calling directly? Do they really book up that fast?

we try to avoid summer at disney so i could be wrong but i would call. i dont think any dates book that fast.

I think they are having trouble with their site. I tried this morning for Sept of next year and it told me no rooms were available also.

I tried back a minute ago and there were rooms where we wanted them.

Go figure...

Since most of the villas are owned by DVC members, there might not be a lot of inventory available at this time for cash booking.

Don't know if it's just me but I noticed something strange when checking on the Disney reservation website. When I search the first two or three resort options it will list availability. After that no matter what I check it comes up as no rooms available. If I sign out and reload the page and check the same sites it just told me had no availability the rooms come up. Not sure why this happens but maybe see if that is what is happening with you as well and a problem with the site.

I noticed that yesterday and was told by a CM that villa cash reservations are booked 6 months out.

I'm glad I'm not the only one having difficulty with this. I have been trying to get quotes online for next May/June as well. I have tried all levels from value to deluxe villas and the majority of the time it shows no availability. There must be something wrong with the website. I can't imagine every single room is already booked for May and June of 2014. I will try to call in a few days when I have more time.

I think you may be too far out from your dates. I seem to recall reading somewhere that if you're paying cash for a villa, they don't become available until 6 or 7 months out. They are open to DVC a little earlier than that.

DVC releases open villas for cash bookings about 6 months out. DVC owners can book at their home resort 11 months out and at other DVC resorts 7 months out. Those paying cash get to book at the 6 month mark...basically.

As PP have said, DVC Deluxe Villas are not released for cash booking until about 6 months in advance. It makes comparison shopping difficult.

Being in Canada the my Disney experience just launched here last week. I found it would let me price something out, and then when I tried something else it would say no rooms available for my dates.

MDE is currently down for us and the old site is up. I just tried my plans again with no troubles, so maybe the glitch is with MDE?

I'm looking at booking for may 2014....
