Why are there no Christmas parades at night??

I believe it is because the Candlelight Processional has been extended for 20 nights instead of the usual schedule of 2 or 3 nights.

The Christmas parade doesn't start until 11/12. Then they are at 5:30 p.m. which should be dark.

In December they are at 4:00, not 5:30 on weekdays - at least the first part of December. And 1 and 3:30 on weekends.

I think they are talking about December not November. And yes it has to be because of the Candlelight Processional happening for several days in a row this year. Usually the parade does start at dusk and goes into the evening. It will kind of take away from the later parade for sure to see it in the daytime vs. the evening. We went for the first time to DL in 2010 and saw both parades and enjoyed the later one the best. At least you get to go! And plus you can take in the processional if you would like. I would love to be able to see that! The announcers for that time frame are tba right now. Maybe you can hope for Julie Andrews?

Are you asking because you want to see it when it's dark, or just later in the evening?

If it's because you want to see it in the dark, the sun sets at 4:44 pm that day and if you sit near the end of the parade route you could end up seeing much of the parade after sunset.
