usually the rates are not nearly so high......we paid last time this time of year about $220 rt....now rates are almost $400 each rt....how come...will they come down????

Not positive but just as a guess many schools in this area (I'm in Maine as well) are getting out earlier than normal because of less snow days this year. We only had 1 snow day this year whereas we normally have 5-8. We traveled to Disney June 20-27 last year and schools were still in session at that point for at least part of the week.

Air fare always goes up once the schools are out.

We're find the same thing...I'll be checking their website daily hoping the fares go down if not I'm not sure what we'll do!

I'm looking at $250 pp for July travel, Boston to Orlando and I don't know if I should book it? I haven't spent that much in a long time for July. Ughhhh.... Last year I got it for $200 pp for the same time frame.

Try flying out of Portland. Air Tran has some decent rates (though we've had our tix booked since Dec. for the same week.). Try Jet Blue, too.

air tran and jet blue are even HIGHER.....can;t find anything under $330 each...UGH......a few years ago we got so much less

Watch SW daily. When I first started looking in early Feb for a trip in June, rates were at $82 (one way)...then the dropped to $59 for about a week and now they are up to $109.
