Why Are Some UGGs So Difficult to Get?

Every other year or so, my DD asks for a certain type of UGGs for Christmas. Last year (or maybe the year before), she asked for the Cardy UGGs and, of course, I couldn't get them. I ended up buying on line and I swear I got counterfeit ones. Now I know not to do that unless I go to an authorized retailer.

So this yesterday she tells me that she would like Sunset UGGs. They have a zipper on the side and they are a little more *trim* looking than the regular Classic Tall UGGs. Apparently, they can be found at Journey's. Until of course you go to order and they don't have the color she wants. In fact, I can't find anyone selling them besides Journey's. Zappos had them but they are out of stock.

I'm just sick of this UGG rationing. Can't they just make enough so that you can at least have a chance of getting some. You'd think they'd ramp up for the holidays.

Well, now I'm really confused.

She wants the Sunset in Chestnut. Journey's lists them as Sunset. When I go to the davidz site, they are listed as Sunset II. I tried to go the manufacturer's website to see the difference and they aren't even on there. The few places that carry Sunset don't have an "II" behind it. So, I'm not sure what this means.

Man they sold out fast! I was just at a B&M Nordstrom yesterday and I "think" they had them. I would call a local Nordstrom and ask.

I went to Nordstrom online and they didn't have them. So they did have them in the store?

They did have them sitting out at Journey's but my DD was with me and that's when she pointed them out. I am going to go there after work tomorrow I guess. I hope they have her size.

I would call the store. I was just looking for a classic short but I think those were there.

Nordstrom will also search their warehouse and other stores for them as well. I have had them do this for other shoes, not UGGS.

Weren't they call UGG Mini or something like that? That style was my daughter's first pair. I can't believe they discontinued that style.

Yes, maybe Classic Mini. My daughter and I wear the same size so I was thinking about getting her a new pair of something similar and getting her hand-me-downs.

I don't know what it is with Uggs. I went to find the slipper/shoe style that my DDs want and they only had a single pair left in all of Bloomingdales. I did pass Journeys and they had a ton in their window. I ended up ordering them from the manufacturers site. Free shipping for orders of $140 or more.

Oh and I definitely got a counterfeit pair last year. My poor DH got me the then impossible to find grey Uggs. He got them from eBay. They are itchy and gave me a blister on my heel. My DD13 got grey ones about a month later from my mom and when I compared them...there was no comparison!
