I've always been rather curious as to why some people consistently respond with a chip on their shoulder. I mostly look past it, because there are truly so many nice people here who are always good for a smile or to listen when one is feeling down.

I just don't see the point of being mean. (As someone said) If you don't agree, there are ways to word your sentiments that aren't a put down. It's true. I used to post on the DB, but not much anymore. I changed my style of replying to insults because I don't like to address people in the same tone. It adds nothing to the discussion. And it certainly isn't fun.

There have been some posts that are way beyond disagreeing with someone. I've seen a few cases where it's more like sharks on a feeding frenzy.

Anyway, there are a lot of very nice people here. I enjoy them and (try) to disregard the snippy mean posts.

Annemarie, you're right, its much better to ignore the snits. Of course, I earned my title "Queen Snit" because when someone gets snitty with me, I tend to get equally snitty back. But that was my old DIS life, nowdays I just revel in the fact that a) I have a hot stud hubby who adores me (i.e., I'm getting some) and b) I really like most of the people here on the DIS. Best to accentuate the positive, don't you think?
