Why are people so rude?!

I've been a member of this website for a LONG time. For the most part, everyone is so wonderful, caring and helpful. I am thankful to have my fellow DISers. I am thankful for this website. Its nice to have people who share a common interest. To have people be there for me when I need them and to give me the opportunity to be there for them as well.

Whatever the given situation, we should not judge others or talk down to them.

Remind me never to be that person.

I shall say no more.

I must have missed something but I do agree. It's nice to have mostly non judgemental people here who have the same interests and are as whacky and crazy as I am....

Maybe I am thick skinned or perhaps dense, but I just think some people are more fanatical about their ideas and beliefs. And will go to no end to push their beliefs on everyone else, everyone is entitled to an opinion and believe me there are many who do not side with me either but I try to take it with a grain of salt.........do I get my feelings hurt...? yeah sometimes but you can't change everyone elses mind, you believe and feel the way you want and let them believe what they want. I try not to be rude but perhaps sometimes I may come across that way, it's a difficult medium to tell exactly how people feel and express themselves. Like the threads today about Tooky Williams, you are always going to have people that believe in the death penalty and those that are vehemently against it, and usually both sides will fight to prove they are right, the same with the abortion issues. All we can do is state how we feel, take the heat and live with how we feel. I don't know what thread you are speaking of and I hope you were not treated to badly since there are already to many good people that have left this site and I would hate to see that happen to anymore.......I have always enjoyed reading your posts, I love to hear other peoples ideas and thoughts, that is what makes us all so interesting.
