Don't worry some people just like to make you feel bad because it makes them feel better and more superior! I used to feel like you, now I post and if someone disagrees OHWELL! it's my opinion.

I would put what the OP got as maybe a very mild simmer. I am sorry but if you feel that was flaming then never ever open a thread about anything political, religious, pool-hopping, refillible mugs, 5 to a room, breastfeeding, ( I could go on and on and on).

Honestly I have had maybe two or three very rude things said to me and then just a few posts that were posted without tact. I now "unsubscribe" from almost every thread I post to because I usually just have something to post (never rude or mean until the 1-2 times a year I get riled up by a VERY rude post to me ) and then don't really care what's said after it. I never mind if someone disagrees with me it's when it's done with attitude (yes, you can read attitude) or a I'm-a-tell-it-like-it-is kind of person (which some people on here are proud of how snarky they can be) that I don't really care for and have no intentions of going back and forth on a subject. But this is the Real World (even on a Disney site). It will never be 100% of everyone caring about everyone else's feelings or how sensitive they might be (or that they might be more sensitive than the person who's posting feels like a "normal" person should be). Just don't let it get to you!! The Dis is a great place to be!! And the wolves can smell fear and move in numbers . (Also, I don't think you were flamed. There have been some HUGELY inappropriate things said here that were A LOT worse than that).

All this drama, and over what? Someone made a tongue in cheek remark -- and you did have a huge white space there. It even gave me a chuckle.

Here's the thing - many people's bark is much worse than their bite. A lot of losers in life feel empowered on a message board (on any message board, not just here) to snap out, be mean and bitter towards anything - you'll have to get a thick skin and learn to ignore. They're really pitiful people with nothing better to do in life than lash out and belittle someone else - it builds their self esteem and makes them feel better about their own miserable life. I feel sorry for folks like this to be quite honest.

Now debates on hot topics - you'll have to go in to them knowing that they can get heated from normal people with well balanced lives - and my advice there is to avoid them if you feel your feelings might get hurt.

I think that there are too many hyper-sensitive people on these boards! Good grief, you can't say anything without people getting all huffy about being "flamed". If you're going to say you were flamed, I would like to at least see a little smoke!
I agree with many of you who have already posted-I love the CB! Yes, the political and religious discussions can get testy, but I've found them interesting anyway. If it gets nasty, I just stop reading them. We aren't all going to agree about everything all the time, but if you stick with some of these threads you might just learn something about WHY we don't always agree. If I have to defend my beliefs to someone else, I have to think about why I believe this or that and when I read why another poster disagrees-I might look at something in a way I never did before.

Why the rude comment. You told them how they could have responded. Well you could have reponded with. "I am having a hard time posting my photo. Could you help me remove the extra line." Sorry you don't get a pass for your behavior.
