As a teacher, I see many children throwing used Kleenex, gum, food, and paper on the ground in a classroom. Whenever I catch a child dropping anything, I make them pick it up and copy the school behaviour policy (a section on littering is included). I have even had parents challenge me because "their taxes pay for the custodians." If children try to get away with these actions in school - what do you think these children get away with a home? What bothers me the most are the parents who will defend their children for littering! These are probably the same people who litter in the WDW parks.

I finally gave him the "teacher look" and said, "I won't ask again." He stood there a couple of seconds more and finally picked it up and threw it away. Not only a litterer, but a disrespectful, rude litterer.
The common respect for where you are and other people seems to be a thing of the past and too many people feel a sense of "entitlement" to do what they want, when they want with no regard to anyone or anything else.
