Why are people down on Tiffany Town Car?

We used Tiffany Town car for one leg of our journey 3 years ago.
It was a good experience, no troubles.

It seems that there are a lot more negative posts about them than in the past... back 3 years ago, they seemed to be the towncar service of choice on the boards.

What has changed? For those who have used them in the past and lately, have you noticed an actual decline in their service?

I've used them twice, most recently in June '04, & had excellent service. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again. I'm considering Murray Hill for our Feb. trip for several reasons but primarily because their price is $15 less than Tiffany.
 
We've used them for seven trips and have had excellent service each and every time. No complaints at all in any department. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
 
We used Tiffany this past July and the service was great. The driver was waiting for us going and coming. ::MickeyMo

I suppose there will always be a variety of views on any business or service. People's expectations can vary greatly, one employee having a bad day can spoil someone's view of the whole company, unforeseen circumstances arise, etc. So I don't worry too much about dissenting views since my own experiences are what count most to me. :D
 
Have used them several times and received excellent service. I think your hearind a vocal minority. I will use them again.
 
We used them for one leg of our trip this past June and had excellant service. We are using them for both legs on our upcoming trip in Oct.
 
We use Tiffany every year and have never had a problem. This april was the first time I used the internet to book, but I still called them to verify everything. For our family of 5 we always ask for a van and Berkley Edwards, our favorite driver, I must admit, if he ever left Tiffany I would try to find him first. He is just awesome, prompt, courteous, etc. I am glad he is at Tiffany. Starts our vacation off perfectly and promptly.
 
This is just a guess but I think Tiffany has become bigger and more successful in the last few years... I certainly see them listed in a lot more guidebooks than I used to and that means more business. More business, more drivers, sometimes companies expand there are some growing pains.

I've used them on both my trips and had a great experience both times. The bad reviews give me a little pause but since I had excellent service in the past I'm going to show my loyalty and use them again. Hopefully I will have the same great service I have had before.
 
They did a good job of toting my party of 9 and a ton of luggage to and from Swan this March. If I can't get a real cheap economy car from Priceline this Jan. for my wife and I I'll use them again.

We used Tiffany Town Car last year for the first time and the service was great. No problems at all. We have them reserved for our trip next month too.

WE used Tiffany on our last three trips. Never had a problem until the last trip, Picked us up on time going down. On the ride back to airport, never showed up, had to call them,We were at CBR they went to Allstars Movies.. They picked us up 45 min late.. We might just try Fl tours next time????
 
Last year we had the same problem with Tiffany as experienced by DISFANS3. It took several calls to get a driver to get us to the airport. We've used Tiffany 10 or 12 times over the years and never had anything less than excellent service. We'll use Tiffany again in December figuring that the last time was just one of those things.
 
we used tiffany's in 2002 and 2003 and thought they were great. then we had a bad experience last dec/03 and will not use them again. we had requested a grocery stop but our driver insisted we hadn't and would not stop(we have always requested this stop and never had a problem) i did not give her a tip and told her it was because of this, and it would now cost me more to buy the items i needed at the resort. we had a different driver back to the airport and i did tip him though. when i returned home i sent tiffany's an e-mail with my compaint...and was very dissappointed in their reply(i was not looking for compensation, just an apology and assurance this would not happen again) the reply stated they didn't know why i was unhappy, they had picked us up and i had shown the driver a lesson by not tipping, she probably wouldn't do that again:confused:
i decided in may to try Florida Tours and was very happy with their service. although it cost me a few dollars more, i was happy to spend it knowing they are the dis sponsor and i have saved so much $$ from tips on these boards:D

We had also used Tiffany and like them before our last trip. Picking us up from the airport was no problem, the driver was already there waiting for us with a sign with our name. We really liked the driver. He was friendly and very talkative. We arrive at POR and he confirms our pickup day/time. We were supposed to get picked up at 3:30 PM for the airport for our 5:30 PM flight, we were ready by 3:15 outside. We wait and wait and wait. It had been raining so I figured there was traffic and he might be delayed. But by 4:00, I decided to call the company. I called and gave them the name of our driver and they didn't know who our driver was and why he wasn't there. He asked for my confirmation number and he sees our reservation and says someone should have been there by now. So the dispatcher starts calling around to see who can pick us up and finally gets someone who can pick us up. He says there will be someone to pick us up in a few minutes. Well, it wasn't until 4:40 when someone finally shows up. The driver was ok but kept complaining that he had been on his way home when he got dispatched to pick us up and had to go to the bank before it closed. We finally get to the airport by 5:15. Lucky (or unlucky) for us, our flight had been cancelled b/c of bad weather in Chicago. We were bumped to a later flight. If it wasn't for that, we most likely would have missed our flight. Needless to say, we will not be using Tiffany again.
 
We've used Tiffany many times and love Berkley. Unfortunately last Nov we did not get Berkley as our Van driver but a surly know it all. He did not have the child seats as requested and we had a long wait for them. We reminded him that we had a PUBLIX stop arranged(we had an order waiting). He proceeded to go to Kash and Karry. Then try to say we would have to pay extra to go to Publix. They stopped picking you up at your room at OKW and now you must get bell services to get you to the HH. Because of storms in the Northeast we needed to change pick up times and although they did pick up the staff on the phone was rude. I paid over $300 ( one van and 3 limos) to Tiffany's that trip to get all of my family to OKW and we were not treted very well.
 
We've used them many times and never had a problem. They are a lot bigger now then they used to be. They also hang out at the convention center and use the town cars as taxi's. I may consider another company in October since there rates semmed to go up.
 
Just to put a good word in for Tiffany. We flew into Disney on the 8th of September for a (supposed three day trip.) Unfortunatly I came down with a sudden flu type bug our first day. We decided the next morning to try and fly home to Atlanta. We needed to get to the airport to try and get on a 1:15 flight. I called Tiffany at 10:30 in the morning and explained the situation. They said no problem and sent one of their managers to our hotel to pick us up within 15 minutes of my call. I thought this was great service and will continue to use them going forward....steve c
