peeling? It's the palm of may left hand mainly. Nope haven't used any chemicals lately - they are also peeling in between my fingers. What on earth could it be from??
Sounds like they're dried out. Been doing a lot of work with water that kept your hands wet for prolonged period of time? That will usually dry them out.
Sometimes in response to an infection (viral or bacterial), you can get a syndrome which looks like scalded skin and peels as you described. Also, some fungal infections of the skin can cause the same reaction.

Believe it or not sweat can cause this. A lot of runners deal with their hands and faces peeling after a marathon when they've been sweating more than usual. The salt literally causes the skin to peel.
Could you have been sweating mroe than usual due to heat?
