Why are Hotels the 2nd Week of March so Expensive?

I’ve started looking for hotels around Disneyland for the week of March 11th - 15th and all the hotels that week are much more expensive. The following week the price drops back down. Any idea why? Below is an example:

Easter is the 31st. Spring Break usually starts the second week of March. Conventions in March: EXPO West at the Convention Center March 12 to 16th.
