I called Roger to ask if he was still planning to come over today and he was like "Why? What's today?" Hello...he's the one who said he wanted to come over today yesterday and said he was going to bring me the CD he made me. Thom used to forget things all the time, too (I had to keep track of everything for him.) Is this a normal male condition or do I just keep getting the forgetful ones?

I've only known 2 males that never forgets things like that. My ds is one of them. He has a memory almost as good as mine.;) My SO is one of the forgetful ones.

Groosch!!

I used ter knoe the answer ter that!!

....but now, I've foregotten what the question is?

:teeth: ;)

it is due to their faulty "Y" chromosome........they're missing important DNA. Joking joking!

LOL...Well, as long as it's normal and not a sign of not caring then I won't worry so much about it. :)

well as my friend used to say...

Something suddenly came up

I feel like reporting this post as sexist.

That is like assuming a woman must do the laundry, cleaning and cooking (which they should mind you)

DH is famous for saying, "I never forget anything I remember". The problem is he doesn't remember a lot of things. I think it is selective memory.

Man, talk about your blatent sexist stereotypes.

I'll give you three reasons why men have great memories:

1.

LOL...He totally made it up to me. I called and checked my bank account (which is still a joint account with Thom) and found out some money I had been waiting for was in the account. So, I called Roger and told him I'd need a ride tomorrow to go get the money before Thom sent it and he was like "Why don't I come get you now just to be safe?" and was there within 15 minutes of when I called him. He then waited patiently in his car while I dealt with the fact that my account and my idea have two different last names (my bank account is still in my maiden name....my ID is my married name) which took about 20 minutes. Then, he drove me to my appointment which I didn't even ask him to do and made sure that he was letting me off in the right place. What a sweetie.

Tobys Friend and lilmermaid, what would you do about the account that is already open as a joint account??? Would you try to get him to close it and start two separate accounts? Or, would you just not worry about it but not use it anymore either?

It would be best to have them close the account entirely and issue new account numbers to both of you in each of your names that are not tied to each other. Also, you should submit a letter to the bank stating that as of ______ date you are seperated and you are no longer financially responsible for any transactions he may make.

Remember, until you take steps to seperate yourself from him financially, you are FULLY (not 1/2) responsible for any actions he may make. For instance, if he were to go out tomorrow and write $5,000 worth of bad checks on the account, the bank has the right to sue you for the entire $5000. The same goes with credit cards.

I can't tell you how many times I have seen angry spouses get revenge.

what was the question again???
