I would close the account right away. Maybe the two of you could decide how to split the money together. If things get nasty down the road, he could close it himself and take the money and there isn't really anything you can do about it.

This also goes for credit cards if you have any jointly. Close them and pay them off. Just remember, if you get divorced, no matter what your divorce decree says, if you have joint accounts with him you will both be responsible and they will be on both your credit reports.
