:goodvibes First disney announces 4/3 deal through a date in March 2010 in sept now in oct, just a week or so later, disney emails numerous folks differnent deals, reduced percentage stays, 500$ gift cards, etc which run throught June 3, 2010.

Last year (Fall 2008-Winter 2009), the deals were much slower in being announced. The extension past March happned after the new year if I remember correctly, the extension of 4/3 through August 15 occurred later in the winter.

Dose anyone know or guess why the deals are comming out much earlier this year than last year?

The deals are slightly earlier than last year, but there are differences.

Last year when 7 for 4 was released it was released until June. If you booked before the end of March you got the extra gift card.

This year, they announced the 7 for 4 earlier, but it's only available until the end of March and there is no gift card.

The pins that are circulating appear to be making up for April - the begining of June. Some of them appear to be quite good, but some are only so-so in my opinion.

My theory is they are testing the waters and seeing who will bite, which is why there is nothing for the general public for April-June yet. It has been widely reported that Disney was looking for a new approach and this appears to be it. We'll see what gets put out there for the general public in the days to come. I think it will depend on how things go with the pins they've sent out.

Which deal do you think is the best?

think u've hit the nail on the head:thumbsup2

I wonder though, with so many people holding 1 ressie @ an original discount, then, when the next 'better deal' is released; many just wind up flipping the ressie to the new code. It's hard to escape all the tv advertising disney is implementing, even those non-DISers know when there is a big offer out there so i'd expect the practice to happen more frequently.

unless there are mandatory add ons to the package (more expensive ticket options, longer length of stay, etc.) it's not much of a help to filling the original empty rooms:confused3unless they count on the last minute travelers.

i do hope that WDTCo never decides to limit the flexibility to rebook same time frame w/new codes and institutes more stringent cancellation or change penalties on packages.popcorn::

There was one pin for 30% off a Value 35% off a Mod 40% off of a Deluxe and 45% off a Delux Villa that I think would have worked out well for us. (Staying at WL) We got the Buy 5 Get 2 Free pin and booked, but I think this other pin would have been better. I know some people got deals for free stays for kids so that worked out better for them. I think the best pin will be different depending on your needs. I wish they would let us pick our deal!
